One week in Medan
The feeling of go back home is really so good, just like one of Andy Lau’s songs. One week is really a very short time. 24 hours a day is not enough. Ah, I’m so greedy. I haven’t eat sate padang, ‘Fountain’ ice-cream, go to Pasar Rame, shopping at Sun Plaza, and the worst part is I didn’t even have the chance to meet my friends. Everyone busy with their holiday, bla bla bla.I do have a good time there. I get what I want, I eat more than 3 times a day. When it’s time to eat, everything is there already, I don’t need to scratch head and worry. It’s just like in heaven. Ok, I know, I’m too much. It makes me think if I can’t find a job here then I will go back home and look for a job and have a more comfortable life than here, where everything is available and near. Family always by my side. Isn’t it a good life? But something is missing, the challenge, the situation of living with family, independent, dependent, bla bla bla. Haihz..
Anyway, it seems that Medan has grown into a billboard city. So many big billboards around Medan, and it looks so messy. Somemore most of them are tobacco ads, Gudang Garam, Marlboro, LA lights, bla bla bla. Why oh why?
And oh, finally I met my cousins. They are naughty but cute. They just met me but didn’t feel shy to talk and hug me. Whatever I asked them they will answer and they will questioned me too. Ah, big city (Jakarta) kids are so different with the small one. Hearing them talk in Bahasa Indonesia is just so cute. I only have 3 days with them. I want more! I want more!
