Meet my ‘housemates’

January 20th, 2007 | Posted by wiehanne

Everyday rain. Day and night. One afternoon my boy asked me to lay down and look at the rain. Somehow it looks like snow for me, though I never really see snow with my own eyes in reality. It looks so nice. Just nice. How I wish I have a SLR camera with me to capture the rain clearer.

These ‘housemates’ seems to enjoy this cold weather. Most of the time they gonna lay there, sleep tightly, wrap their body, so comfortable. Well, maybe because they don’t have other thing to do inside the cage.

This one, when he sleeps, he won’t care anything even when someone walks towards him or touch him. He will just look a while at you and then continue sleeping. He is one of the cool cat, man~! Ckckck. He looks so steady, so calm, so cautious, so powerful, so man, so tiger. The long hair and the color make him so alike with a small little tiger, for me.

When my boy hold his head and make the hair around the head and neck come down, it looks more like a cat. For a while only then he will shake and here come the tiger hair. Muahaha. So cute. Btw, I think I never heard his miau miau sound. He can be in the same position like in the picture above without moving and stare at me all the way when I walk away from the cage to my room. Oh my.. Such a cool cat. Even when walking inside the house also so cool.

This one looks like a lady. I feel the pride, the beauty. Look at the eyes. So sharp. While I moved in few months ago, I thought she is the shy type. But no. When she got the chance to get out, she will run here run there, miau here miaw there. So active, even inside the cage when she is sleeping and someone go towards her, she will get up, brush her body around the cage, miaw miaw and try to lick your finger. My boy said my sleeping style so like her, hear little sound or little movement, will awake, unlike the ‘tiger’ one.

First time she was out and tried to lick me, I was so scared cos somehow I felt the teeth, scared she will bite me. -__-” There was once when the owner let them out, she was scratching the sofa and I pass by. She looked at me, then ran so fast to somewhere else. Alrite, I supposed she knew she was doing sth bad and scared being scold. The reaction kinda shocked me, so cute. It’s not once she ran like that. Sometimes the owner will let them out and they will walk inside the house if not scratch things. Somehow they like to hang out outside my room’s door. So when I open the door, sometimes (I think it happens on the earlier time) she will get shocked herself and suddenly run to somewhere else. Not only she shocks herself but me too. -__-”

What a great combination of 2 different personality. What a roommate.

While this white color cat looks so pity. It’s been quite sometimes looks kinda sick and the eyes become smaller, like no energy. Me and my boy just feel like something isn’t right about this cat from day to day. About a month plus ago, it keeps on Miau miau-ing every time we walked out to kitchen or toilet. It lasts for a few days then the voice become so soft and the eyes got watery thing. And the owner seldom, I think never, let it out. It own the ‘room’ alone at the ground floor while the other two on the top.

This one has become a mummy with 3 kittens. Wow! I seldom see her cos she was put inside the owner’s room with the kitten. Just recently he put her outside due to something. That night my boy was playing with her. She can jump well huh? I never saw the cats playing with the owner though. They need some exercise instead of just laying inside the cage. So kasian. The right picture, her grumpy face looking outside the balcony, like thinking of something. She still in that position for quite some time. Maybe she was thinking how the outside world looks like? or will tonight rain again? or damn it I’m stuck here can’t move cos of the bloody big size litter pool. I think the last one answer her thought. Cos when we geli-geli and touch her, she wanna move but can’t. So my boy moved the green pool and she get up. -__-”

Above is the picture of her and the kittens. The kittens looks so cute. The smallest size one is the most active one. My boy opens the cage door thought wanna hold it and let it walk walk a while since it looks so eager wanna go out. Once my boy opens the cage door, it jumps out almost terbalik and run to the main door! -__-” Ckckck. Come out from a small door, wanna go through a big huge door ah? So small, so brave. There is one more which looks like Garfield so much. But I don’t know where is it now.

Having cats as ‘housemates’ isn’t a bad thing though. Yes, they are a lovely creature with their own personality. Their act cheer people up. What I don’t like are first, the litter’s smell. The owner seldom cleans it, once a week or more, depends on his free time. Three cats in the living room is enough to have that smelly smell. Second, the hair loss. I think the long-hair-type-cat’s hair is easier to fall down. Causing almost every single corner and stuffs in the house, especially the living room, full of cats’ hair. Hopefully not the kitchen.

Sometimes I wish one of those is mine. One enough or two the most, to company each other. I just cannot resist see how they treat the cats. Make the cats look so lifeless. So dirty. But I’m still doubt whether I can resist the cat’s hair that always fall down and the litter, whether I can be so diligent clean them so often, whether I can throw away the scary belief of not owning a cat cos it can brings toxoplasma or whatever plasma and will harm the pregnancy.

I never imagine someone who don’t like and scare of cats like me will have them as housemates. Life is so unpredictable. The more you scare and wanna run out from one thing, the nearer you are with that thing. So, well, the only way is to face it. Thing might turn upside down. You never know. I never know.
