Habit

Time sure does fly fast!! Today is the 15th day of Chinese New Year. And today only I know from my boy about the story of single people throw orange at the river something like that. I never know there is such kind of tale. It’s been a week I back to KL and hardly eat any spicy food, cannot compare to the one in Medan. Medanese should know what I mean. Hehe. Though I’m not a great spicy food/chili consumer but I love the spiciness so so much. No spicy feel like something is missing, incomplete.

3 years living in KL has changed my eating habit a bit. From become a non-chili/spicy consumer to not using tissue and toothpick after eating. What a sad thing. Tissue and toothpicks are on every kopitiam’s tables at Medan but not here. My parents are so used to it until they brought toothpicks along with them when they came here a month ago. Habit will always be a habit huh?

Anyway, happy Cap Go Meh~! Have a happy gathering with the family! I miss mine.

I know what you mean about Medan food - there’s a special sort of spiciness, the blend of chilly hot with sweet, sour and salty that is so unique to Medan. Reading your post, I miss Medan food toooo… and I’m not even a Medanese!

Yenny and gang at Aplaus the Lifestyle really fed us well when we were there and I am hooked on the food. Mmmmmmm…
