Everyone knows Indonesia’s national language is Indonesia language – Bahasa Indonesia. But in this globalization era, most of the people would like to use English, the most widely spoken language in the world (115 countries use it, according to Weber 1997). But according to some website, it is number 2 after Mandarin. It’s not a weird thing to see young kids talk in Indonesia language mix with English. You can see that mixture too in product packaging.

This is one of those packagings that mix two languages, Nanas (Indonesia) and Cream (English). Previously it was ‘Nenas’ and now ‘Nanas’. -__-” I’m just wondering why don’t the client use ‘Pineapple Cream’ or ‘Krim Nenas’? There is another one, ‘Sauce Cabe’, instead of ‘Chili Sauce’ or ‘Saus Cabe’. If you wanna go for English, go 100% else “Pergunakanlah Bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar“.
