Lesson learnt from PPP

November 10th, 2007

I’ve been wondering why there is so little opps in PPP for me to grab. It used to be at least 3 opps per day staying so nicely on the ‘Qualified Opportunities’ list. I was overwhelmed to grab because of the limitation - 3 grabs per day. But now, almost all opps are in red color box which means it is not available to me or in grey color which means it is available to me but fully reserved. -__-” The world is falling down on my head.

PPPoppsList
There is so many reasons behind it; from Google Page Rank to PPP tack rating. We have to fulfill some basic requirements from PPP in order to get a good opps.

PPPoppReq
Last few weeks the blogsphere was being smacked because Google has renewed our PR. Well, mine still the same, PR1. Out of curiosity, I check it again this morning. It becomes PR 0. -__-” Fine, let’s move on. I checked my blog’s account in PPP and saw that the overall tack rating for my blog has dropped from 3 to 1 out of 5 tack. Oh my.. Why oh why?

PPPtackrating
I google it and found out the simple answer at IZEA blog (the parent company of PPP), which is to go above and beyond.

When I personally look at an Opp I look at the quality of the writing and the time invested vs. what the offer was. Some of you do the bare minimum and meet the basic requirements of the Opp, which is just fine. I will give you 3 tacks for that type of effort.

I can tell that others really take some serious time to think about things. You are the people I award 4 or 5 tacks. You include photos and screen shots when you don’t even have to, you do your research and you relate it to your personal life. I love that!

I used to really spend my time to dive into the topic and the product before write anything. But as I was getting busier and wanted to finish everything faster, I tend to forget it and just banged on the post. I take the tack rating and the PR for granted. We will lose something if we don’t put effort in it. Well, lesson learn~!
