I am so in the Chinese New Year mood. I’m so exciting, I can’t wait to welcome it. Okay, actually I just can’t wait for the trip and not the Chinese New Year itself.
I don’t know why, the excitement of Chinese New Year celebration has faded from year to year, unlike when I was still a kid ( I feel old now ).

With cousins, in 1990s. I forgot the exact year.
Back then, 10 years ago maybe, I used to look forward to Chinese New Year. Well, because it meant:
1. NEW CLOTHES and stuffs.
2. ANG PAOs.
3. Tonnes of yummylicious FOOD and cakes.
Notice I don’t put family gathering in the list, because I simply didn’t looking forward to it. But it depends on which side of the family.
Now I’m in my early 20s and no longer exciting about those 3 things but family gathering. Because I can get those things in any days, not only Chinese New Year. Money is the root to get new clothes and yummylicious food. Hah! People changes.
