It was 10 years ago when I first knew about ‘internet’. Yahoo was the search engine that I used to use. mIRC was the hottest chatting service. People went to cyber cafe mostly for chatting, unlike now for online gaming.

Back then, mIRC was still fun. I used to go in to ‘Medan’ and ‘Bawel’ channels. Started from ‘asl pls’, the chatting could go to various topic among teens. But these days, those channels is full with bo-kang-co-hiao-kang, some stupid pervert with penniless ( that can’t even afford tankless water heaters for some good showering time) looking for sex partner for free through mIRC. Duh.. -__-”

Anyway, the era has changed. Nowadays teens use mig33 for chatting through mobile phone. It has room chat, group chat and private chat. My bro said that it isn’t expensive. Most of his classmates use IM3 (from Satelindo), chat for 2 to 3 hours everyday and it is less than IDR100.000 / month. But it disconnects quite often.

My bro also jumped in the crowd. He had the group chat among the classmates every night, after he got his new mobile phone. Teens oh teens. They meet each other 5 days in a week for 7 – 8 hours per day and still have topics to chat every night. :S
