Astro, the paid TV from Malaysia, has been down / out of service since this morning.
It was announced on the newspaper and their website for Indonesia (astro-nusantara[dot]com)that it will be down from 10am this morning for a few hours. The reason is because the there would be an inspection from the Ministry of Information and Communication (DEPKOMINFO).
It is now more than few hours. Almost 12 hours. My neighbor’s daughter thought her Mum forget to pay the bill. -__-” Well, What kind of inspection that is made out of a sudden? After messing the internet world, the government has gone into the TV world? After Youtube, now it’s gonna be Astro?
According to the government, Astro hasn’t fulfill some of the duty. But Vice President Corporate Affair PT Direct Vision, Halim Mahfudz, said they already fulfill the 4 major requirements; the company address, radio station permit, The cost of the User’s Right (Biaya Hak Pengguna – BHP) and ‘Uji Laik Operasi’ (ULO).
I wish everything is back to normal by tomorrow. I miss the Singapore drama ‘Kinship’, the Taiwan Hokkien drama ‘Yi Nan Wang’, the daily E! News, Kim Kardashian in thigh high boots, and the movies.
Please don’t take Astro away. TV without Astro is incomplete. ![]()
