Hepi, the new mobile operator

I was flipping through tabloid nova and saw this mobile operator ad.

The logo and the name (Hepi) looks Oh-so-familiar.

Ain’t it looks so much like Happy from Digi (Malaysia)? I even thought that Digi is expanding its business to Indonesia. And Hepi is the Indonesia version of Happy.

I went to the Hepi site and found out that it is under PT. Mobile-8 Telecom, the company that issued ‘Fren’ - a CDMA operator. Hepi is a Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) Service, released on 3rd May 2008.

Hepi offers a very cheap sms price which is at IDR.10 per sms. Call rate at IDR.1.000 per day with some term and condition.

More and more mobile operator coming out and fighting to offer the cheapest price in the market. Hopefully they don’t forget about the line quality.
