I can’t help not to reminisce about a year ago. What happen a year ago? It was the day when I left the company, where I’ve worked for 6 months only, and faced the uncertainty in my life.
I gave the Boss the resign letter on early October 2007 (read the day I resign post) after went through so much thought and consideration. Two months later, November 30th was my last day working there as a graphic designer or I may say packaging designer (read end of prison break post).
One year later (now), I am going strong and never regret from taking the resign decision. I earn 4 times than before (by that I can throw the money to buy paella pan without feeling guilty), I learn alot of stuff and have more space to grow, most importantly my relationship is still going strong – something that I am not sure can be achieved if I work full time with only 12 permission per year.
Meanwhile, I should get ready to move on to another step of my life. I hope it will go well as what we plan.

March 20, 2009 at 10:04 amHi there! Reading your posts made me smile. Just wanna share that I just resigned as well from my 9-5 jobs (not including the freakin’ overtimes :p) 2 months back. It was a prestigious job in a highly reputable firm, and the pay was not bad. But since I gave birth about 1.5 yrs ago until I resigned, I only had sooo little time for my son. I missed his first crawl, first step, and everything. After months in dillemmas I finally left the firm and until this very moment I never regret my decision and I know I never will. I’m starting up a freelance translation service now and I know there are so many opportunities out there that we can actually generate income from home. Hopefully soon I’ll do as well as you do
