It was on last Sunday when I went to Sun Plaza with my Mum. We were heading to some boutiques when I came across this stationery shop selling Christmas and New Year cards. Immediately, I was brought through a memory lane.
Although I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I have this tradition of giving Christmas and New Year cards to my classmates and friends back in schooling time. It started since I was in primary 2 or 3 and continued until I graduated from high school.
During this kind of time, I would be be busy in choosing Christmas cards and making a list of whom would I give the cards to. After wrote to, from, Merry Christmas and drew some cutie cartoon inside the cards, I would seal the envelope with cute stickers and handed them to my friends few days or a week before Christmas or school’s holiday. My friends would gave cards to me too. It became like.. Christmas cards exchange.

Some of the Christmas cards from my friends
I normally bought 10 – 15 cards, price ranged from expensive to cheapo one. The expensive cards with nice design were for my closest and best-est friends, while the cheapo card with normal design is for not-so-close friends.
I would love to give cards to all my classmates, but heh, we had 50 – 60 students in a class, so forget about it.
Besides that, my family also used to send Christmas cards to my auntie and one of my Mum’s auntie, whom were Christian. But, we stopped doing that cause sms and e-card is way more convenient.
Now, I wonder, is anyone still buy Christmas cards and send them via post?
