I have a new year resolution for 2008. My first time ever and I had forgotten about it soon. I think it is better to list down what I wish to have and achieve in 2009. Here they are in random order:
1. Nokia 5800 or 6600 fold – Accomplished! Bought an LG ice cream instead of Nokia.
I can’t decide which one to go for yet. Huge, touch-screen, wlan, in the all time favorite color – black kind of phone or modern, medium size, nice pink, flip phone?
2. Teeth brace
I have to do it this year or never, cause it is going to take at least 2 years! I want to have a great smile with great teeth on my wedding photograph few years later, can? Else, the bridal’s staff might need to do lots of photoshop touching.
3. Long curly wavy hairstyle – Half way there. It’s July now and I’m with short curly hair, on my way to grow it longer.
Two years of short bob hair, I have it enough already. I thought of going for hair extension cause it will save my time from growing my hair. But, thinking that it is other’s hair (unkown), I quickly throw the idea away. The best way is to grow this hair, maintain it in whatever way so no more great-hair-loss problem.
4. Bali trip – Sort of Accomplished! But, instead of Bali (in Indonesia), we went to Perhentian Island in Malaysia for 3D2N. Well, it’s still a beach trip after all.
Boyfriend suggested it first and I am oh-so-excited although I am still worry about the not-enough-money part.
I am not the type of earn-and-use-all. But heck, we will have enough to spend a few days of quality time in the paradise island. For the past 2 years, both of us haven’t travel to other places, except my hometown, his hometown, and KL. Boring eh?

5. Pay back some of my college fee
My family had a financial problem during my last year in college. My auntie help me to pay half of the tuition fee. Thanks G or I wouldn’t even graduate from Diploma course. It was a voluntary help from her but if I am able to pay her back, why not? I can’t wait to throw away this “OWE” word from my shoulder.
6. Double up my income
When I started freelancing, I used my previous salary (while working 8hr-5 1/2days) as the bench mark of what I should earn the least. I also counted roughly the electric bill, internet bill, etc that I use while working at home and setup a roughly net profit that I should reach. The income slowly increased and it’s time to aim higher.
7. Stay with boyfriend and have a normal relationship
Last year, one of my resolution is to end this Long Distance Relationship (break-up is not in our dictionary). We tried whatever way but it didn’t work. I suppose we were too focus on the words LDR. Taking some lesson from the Secret, I am going to focus on the positive word.
I hope my wishlist will be fulfilled. I am going to work my a*s off now so that I can fulfill some of the stuffs in my wish list, which money can buy. ![]()

January 16, 2009 at 3:55 pmWow, your list is not as long as some people’s. I guess you have noted down the most important things and I do wish you luck.
I’m still using a Nokia N73 which is very old for me. I guess I’m not to bothered about having cool or fansy phones.
I laughed about the teeth part as I spent over $2000 last year on mine. I still have few more to fix up (mostly crowns).
LDR’s are very hard to commit too, I do my best not to have relationships like that. I hope you come right this year.

January 17, 2009 at 3:17 pmI would go with a touch screen phone then a flip phone as I personally find it easier to use. I’m using a Nokia slide at the moment.
LDR does take a lot of effort I too was in one before but it does end in marriage for us. One had to relocate and it was my hubby from Hong Kong over to Singapore.
I didn’t make it to have my braces off before my wedding shoot was on but managed to get mine off after wearing it for nearly 6 years (complicated teeth case) before the wedding day. We just too another wedding photoshoot last year with the kids to make up for the – NO smile ones that I had to take that time around.
