I have a new year resolution for 2008. My first time ever and I had forgotten about it soon. I think it is better to list down what I wish to have and achieve in 2009. Here they are in random order:
1. Nokia 5800 or 6600 fold – Accomplished! Bought an LG ice cream instead of Nokia.
I can’t decide which one to go for yet. Huge, touch-screen, wlan, in the all time favorite color – black kind of phone or modern, medium size, nice pink, flip phone?

2. Teeth brace
I have to do it this year or never, cause it is going to take at least 2 years! I want to have a great smile with great teeth on my wedding photograph few years later, can? Else, the bridal’s staff might need to do lots of photoshop touching.

3. Long curly wavy hairstyle – Half way there. It’s July now and I’m with short curly hair, on my way to grow it longer.
Two years of short bob hair, I have it enough already. I thought of going for hair extension cause it will save my time from growing my hair. But, thinking that it is other’s hair (unkown), I quickly throw the idea away. The best way is to grow this hair, maintain it in whatever way so no more great-hair-loss problem.
4. Bali trip – Sort of Accomplished! But, instead of Bali (in Indonesia), we went to Perhentian Island in Malaysia for 3D2N. Well, it’s still a beach trip after all.
Boyfriend suggested it first and I am oh-so-excited although I am still worry about the not-enough-money part.
I am not the type of earn-and-use-all. But heck, we will have enough to spend a few days of quality time in the paradise island. For the past 2 years, both of us haven’t travel to other places, except my hometown, his hometown, and KL. Boring eh?

5. Pay back some of my college fee
My family had a financial problem during my last year in college. My auntie help me to pay half of the tuition fee. Thanks G or I wouldn’t even graduate from Diploma course. It was a voluntary help from her but if I am able to pay her back, why not? I can’t wait to throw away this “OWE” word from my shoulder.
6. Double up my income
When I started freelancing, I used my previous salary (while working 8hr-5 1/2days) as the bench mark of what I should earn the least. I also counted roughly the electric bill, internet bill, etc that I use while working at home and setup a roughly net profit that I should reach. The income slowly increased and it’s time to aim higher.
7. Stay with boyfriend and have a normal relationship
Last year, one of my resolution is to end this Long Distance Relationship (break-up is not in our dictionary). We tried whatever way but it didn’t work. I suppose we were too focus on the words LDR. Taking some lesson from the Secret, I am going to focus on the positive word.

I hope my wishlist will be fulfilled. I am going to work my a*s off now so that I can fulfill some of the stuffs in my wish list, which money can buy.
That is the image that my bro’s school portray to us. It is a private school. I can’t believe that I have spent 12 years there (kindergarten, primary, junior high school). Thanks G I moved to a better school when senior high school.
1. The school didn’t contact us when accident happened
My Mum received a phone call when the accident happened last Friday (my bro’s arm was injured during the physical exercise class). No, it was not from the school but my bro himself, with the help of his friends, called back home with his mobile phone. Where was his teacher huh?

2. The school didn’t have emergency transportation
Luckily the school is located near our house, within walking distance. My Mum went there immediately. The school side asked my Mum to bring my bro to the traditional Chinese doctor and see what was wrong with the bone. They even asked if there was any student whom drove a car. What the..? It’s emergency, can’t the school sent him to doctor or hospital immediately? Then, what does the school’s van for?
3. No visit whatsoever from the school
My bro stayed in the hospital for 3 days 2 night and no one from the school came, except his classmates and friends. Yes, I know it was weekend, but that’s not a reason for not visiting him in the hospital and saying a few words.

4. The tile of the school’s hall and the badminton-cum-basketball-field for PE class is made of very slippery ceramics.
Tell me, which idiot will put such a ceramics on an exercise field huh? How do you want the students to jump, run, etc on the slippery floor? Be careful itself is not enough. My bro’s case is not the first. As my high school friend told me that this kind of accident happened before to our classmate, a girl, luckily it was her left arm which injured instead of right. I can’t recall it, so perhaps it happened after I moved to other school.
Seeing such irresponsible action from the school, my Dad went to see the principle on Monday. The discussion didn’t go smooth until my Dad has to go through a rude way. It worked although at first they said that they gonna asked the students to donate some money for my bro. What the..? Of course we said no, what does this accident has to do with the other students? All we want is for the school to be responsible. This accident happened because of the school and not because other students whom hit my bro or so.
To cut it short, the school’s representative came here on Monday to see my bro and gave a few lousy reason of why they couldn’t pay a visit to the hospital. Save that, we didn’t buy their stupid reason. And, they came today with a few of my bro’s classmates and gave some compensation. Finally the chicken and irresponsible PE teacher came too. Hah!
P.S. My bro just received this news that one of the school’s staff had a sudden stroke, felt down at the school’s field, and passed away. What the..? He just came to our house this afternoon with the PE teacher and my bro’s classmates. And suddenly, he passed away? *pinch my arm* I still can’t believe this news. He has been working at the school ever since I studied there. Oh my.. May he rest in peace.
One morning, I woke up early and took out the scale weigh, hoping to see me gaining some weigh. But, to my surprise, it dropped from 40kg to 37.5kg, just like how best diet pill would work. What the…

I am not on diet. I eat like usual, 3 meals with rice and 1 light meal for tea time. So, where does the 2-3kg go to? Sigh. *frustration mode on* However, I reckon that I have slightly smaller tummy. If the 2-3kg is from the fattie tummy then I am happily letting it go.
I’ve been spending some time in the Methodist hospital since my bro was hospitalized there, arm’s injured.

Post operation
Being the youngest in the family, my bro is very much spoiled (manja). He wanted someone to accompany him. So, parent and I have been visiting and accompanying him in rotation.

It was oh-so-boring. The room only has a 14″ (or so) TV with local channels. Thanks to digicam, I was taking the time to shoot some random pics of myself.

I’m glad that my bro is finally out from the hospital this afternoon. It will take some time for his right arm to fully heal. Until then, he will need to deal with one hand only. Again, thanks G he is left handed although he normally clicks mouse with his right hand. Time to do some adaptation.
Physically, yes, I am being ‘single’ again as boyfriend has already going back to Malaysia. So, here I am, going through another period of long distance relationship.

The message that he left on my lauya Nokia phone. It shows up everytime I turn on the phone.
It was not easy to bid farewell although we have spend more than 3 weeks together. Heck, 3 weeks is not enough, it is never enough. *cry*
Now, I’ll need to shed my tears. Although our condition on 2009 is still blur and not clear, we will go through it. Few years later, I want to able to tell others that yes, long distance relationship works and not always ends with break-up mode.
