Here’s the map of Southeast Asia. I drew a red line connecting Medan and KL incase there is people interested in knowing the location.

I was checking Airasia site for the flight fare, from Medan to KL on April. After searching for several dates, I didn’t find any that is cheap enough although they have a new promo, Medan – KL starts from IDR.14.000 with booking date until today or tomorrow (I forget which one). I was about to rant when I click on a date and found it!

Yes, that is it. The IDR.14.000 (around USD1.20) flight fare (one way only). The total fee is IDR.84.000 after add in the administration fee. But wait, that is not the total fee yet.

There’s more:
1. Baggage fee
Add in IDR.15.000 for 15kg baggage. You won’t need this if you bring hand luggage.

2. Seating fee
Yes, now passengers can pick the seat instead of free seating. There goes the horror of rushing and squeezing in the crowd (in uncivilized way) just to get a seat. *sweat*

Add IDR.75.000 for the Hot seat, where you can select seats from the first 5 rows of the aircraft or 2 rows at the emergency exit. Otherwise, standard seat is just IDR.15.000. If I can’t get row #6, I’ll opt for Hot seat cause Hot seat included Xpress Boarding (again, there goes the horror of rushing to the plane with tonnes of people. *sweat*)

Back to the calculation, so IDR.84.000 + IDR.15.000 + IDR.75.000 = IDR.174.000 which is around USD15 only. Oh my.. This is the cheapest fare I ever found (for Medan-KL) during my 3 years traveling with Airasia! If I don’t buy it, I must be very stupid and regret the whole life. *dramatic mode on*

But.. the minus point is, the flight is at night. I certainly avoid night flight cause most of the night flights often delay one. I don’t wanna stay and wait at the airport (alone) until midnight or so. Besides, taking flight on Saturday night means I have wasted the weekend (for some reason that I myself will understand only).

Anyway, the summary of this post is that.. I found the cheapest fare for Medan-KL but I didn’t buy it. The end of the story.

Am I late or what? I just knew that Poladroid exists! If you haven’t know, it is a software that can generate high resolution Polaroid-like pictures from digital photos. That’s the explanation in the site.

Just drag and drop your picture into the digital blue Polaroid camera. Wait until the picture slowly shows up or you may shake it (with your mouse of course). Picture will be saved into picture folder. Fun eh?

I downloaded it and already fall in love with that software, although at some point I still prefer to create the Polaroid feeling via Photoshop. But well, I can play around with this Poladroid for a while until I can get my own Polaroid camera. Hehe..

1. I’ve bought Mamma Mia! DVD few months ago but just got the time to watch it last Sunday. Three words to define the movie, I love it! It is like watching the grown up version of Anastasia-kind-of-cartoon-movie. The lovely fairytale setting with the characters singing songs every now and then. Can’t believe I like musical type of movie. Whew..

2. Airasia has a new promo, 50.000 free seats from Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta to Singapore! Hey, how come Medan is not included inside? Otherwise it would be a great chance to go Singapore on April with such a low fare.

3. I was doing some cleaning the other day and found the missing ball lock pins in the drawer, hiding under the stack of papers and bills. Ugh.

4. I just canceled the webcam’s order from Deal Extreme. It’s been 2 weeks since I order that $13.66 webcam and it is still waiting for the supplier. -__- I don’t have the patience and after thinking for quite some time, I decided to cancel it. The refund was made in my Paypal account today. Am gonna use the current lousy webcam for a while.

5. I am considering buying an external HDD for back up. I know, I still have a dozen of DVD for back up purpose, but.. I find that it is not efficient cause it is not re-writable. And, I just remember there is some computer exhibition coming up this week at a shopping mall, which means there is a chance to buy the external HDD at promo price.

6. I was looking for the list of CSS gallery to submit my blog and found a huge list of them in The CSS Gallery list. The site also provides submission service to the full list of 55 Featured CSS Galleries for $10 only. But I am stingy enough and prefer to do it myself.

I’ve been wanting to get rid of the Christmas header since last month. But, there is always a reason that hold me from doing so. Let’s not get into the cliche reasons.

Here’s the current one, still in pink with slightly purple background color, but more elegant and clean – not just the design but also the code. Thanks to my dearest boyfriend for doing such a great job with the coding.

• Maintain the layout to be in 2 columns only
• Still use the vector illustration of a woman with PC (represents me and also icon for this blog) with small revisions such as: change the skin color, change the eyebrow’s shape, change shirt’s color. Others remain the same as I still use Dell PC and the red office chair.
• Clean up sidebar and throw away unnecessary items such as: mybloglog and blogcatalog readers widget, alexa widget, recent posts
• Add ‘about her’ section at sidebar
• Still thinking whether I should put back Adgitize thing or not
