Shed away the blue Monday

Finally Monday is here. *so happy*

But the horror of Valentine’s day is still lingering in my head and my mind. The ultra crazy traffic jam. The extremely crowded restaurants, even those infamous restaurants with awful foods also fully booked and had a long queue on that lovey dovey day. Probably because it fell on saturday, hence the celebration here and there.

Now it’s over, let’s talk about other thing such as.. the small gathering that I had with some of the junior high school friends at Sun Plaza (again) yesterday afternoon.

Favorite questions of the day:

1. “*insert her name*, where is your baby? Why didn’t you bring her along?”
Almost everyone thrown this question to her. I am one of the curious soul whom wanting to see her 7 or 8 months old baby. How fast time flies. It feels like yesterday only when she had her fairytale wedding dinner.

The amazing part is, she still looks so slim even after the pregnancy and giving birth. *pointing to her, in the soft pink shirt* She never consumed diet pill like http://www.getdietsolutions.com/ephedrasil-hardcore/“>Ephedrasil hardcore and others. Whew..

2. “When are you going to get married?” or “Getting married soon?”
Oh well, since almost everyone is attached (read: in a relationship) for quite some time, that was the question that popped up to each other. -__-”

Now, put aside that wedding and marriage thought. Time to get back to work. :P

Happy V-day 2009

I intended to write an emo post for the Valentine’s Day. But thanks to the 4 hours blackout early this morning, I lost the feeling to write such thing now. :P

So.. this is our 5th Valentine’s Day. I’ll do a flash back for the past V-day.

14th Feb 2005 – It was semester break and we went back to our hometown. No whatsoever celebration.

14th Feb 2006 – I had my 2nd visit to boyfriend’s hometown and we went for a dinner at this Chinese restaurant, where the chef is the husband of his high school tuition teacher (if I not mistaken). Ordered huge prawns that cost us alot -> one of the most memorable thing for the 2 of us. :P

14th Feb 2007 – We had our convocation and after that I went for internship in KL. That was when I received my first flower ever. *big wet eyes* Alright, not a real flowers that can die in days time but a handmade flowers in pink, that he made while I was still in the office. I still keep it up until now and no intention to throw it away although it looks quite dusty now. I’m such a memory keeper. :P

14th Feb 2008 – It was the 10th month of our LDR. No celebration, sms, call whatsoever as well. I can’t recall how did I spend my Valentine’s day last year. I can’t find the post too. -__- Probably just a dinner with my family.

14th Feb 2009 – Er, it’s the same as last year. No celebration, sms, call whatsoever.

Well, we are not the type of person whom will celebrate this kind of thing (read: Valentine’s day, birthday, anniversary day, and so on). We hold to the thought that ‘Everyday is Valentine’s Day’ (don’t puke yet :P ) and keep things as simple as possible.

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone~!

Breakfast time

Almost every morning, I go out to have breakfast with my parents at some Chinese stall / coffee shop / kopitiam. Due to my Dad’s strong chemistry with noodle, we always end up going to this 2 kopitiam for the wantan mee.

Kopitiam is probably the most interesting place on earth cause you can hear the latest news and gossips from the people there. Not that I want to overheard, but they always talk so loud and the way they share the stories is so interesting too. At least, I find it interesting. :P

Like this 60+ years old auntie, the owner of the kopitiam. She always sits there and chats with some of the customers. She can chat about almost every topic, from the war at Gaza to the recent death case of the North Sumatra parliament’s head, from the latest wireless security systems to how fast the free-seat-promotion-from-Airasia is being booked, and so on. Gee, thumbs up for her as most of the auntie/grandma prefer to chat about those bad guy/bad woman in TV series. :P

Now, I can picture that my boyfriend will (most probably) chat with the customers too, if we own a coffee shop in the future. :P

Belated birthday dinner

Here comes the time of the year. The belated birthday dinner of this 3 girls ladies (my high school friends) which is also a gathering among a few of us.

According to the invitation via sms, the dinner was held at Tea Garden (the newly open Chinese restaurant) on 7.30pm. We occupied this long table at the 2nd floor, where we needed to run here and there just to take picture talk to the person at the other side of the table. Can’t someone create a round table for 15 – 20 people instead of just 10 people? :P

Meet the birthday girls with this Tiramisu cake from me. I know, I’m not creative in thinking of what presents to give. :P Speaking of birthday, boyfriend’s birthday is coming soon, which is 2 months from now. I suppose I have more than enough time to come up with a great present.

bday-girls

Group picture of us, the ladies. Oh, I notice one thing. I have the shortest hair among all of them. -__-” Besides that, we managed to catch up with each other. One of my friends is going to finish her degree mid of this year and is thinking to take mba programs cause most of Taiwanese has Master degree. Whew..

all-girls

An almost complete group picture. Two person has going back while the other one was the photographer of the night.

Now, put aside the birthday dinner cause I have a more-exciting-news to note down. *big smile* It seems that someone is going to leave her jojoba, jomblo – jomblo bahagia, status soon.

She never brings or introduces any other guys to the group before this, so this one should be a special one although nothing was being proclaimed last night except his name. What a turn off. -__-”

There is a chance she might reading this :P , so… *kepo mode on* dearest friend, share more to us la. Don’t you remember how we used to share about this kind of thing at Dunkin Donut’s Medan Mall for hours during high school time?

Anyway, I’m happy for her.

Hello Miss Monday

1. My ie-po / my grandma’s younger sister passed away last week cause of the breast cancer. The funeral is on tomorrow. I’m not close to her but still there is this sadness. She was the one who always sings at relative’s wedding dinner. I thought, I would be able to hear her sings at my future wedding dinner too. Sigh.

2. My Mum just told me about the recent robbery that hits my neighbor. It was on yesterday (Sunday) when he fetched his daughter (used to be my childhood mate in playing Barbie :P ) with motorbike and the robbery happened. There was pulling-the-bag-drama between the robber and the daughter, causing the daughter to fell down while her Dad was somehow thrown and the face hit the road side. The rest is… hospital’s story. That is why I would never want to take a ride on motorbike, or bring bag and purse with me if I go out without car (read: walk or motorbike).

3. Today is the 15th day of Chinese New Year or we can say it as the last day of Chinese New Year. How fast time flies..

4. It’s been 2 years since I graduated from Diploma in Graphic design. My friends have been asking me,”Why don’t you continue to take degree programs at the same university? At least you don’t need to go through LDR in that way.” Good idea, but too bad, the fee is just too expensive for me.
