Not an exercise person

Those who know me well will understand that I’m not the exercise person. The last time I had a more-than-one-hour-exercise was back in junior high school time. I still remember there was once we had a break from practicing the super boring table tennis. I was in joy cause I s*cks in playing table tennis. Basically I’m not good in playing any sports.

Anyway, the joy was turn into a nightmare cause we had to run, go up and down a mini stairs, etc. It sounds easy but super tiring. My legs were oh so pain on the next day and had to drag my legs to climb the stairs cause I needed to look for the drawing teacher on the 4th floor along with this good friend of mine.

At that time, I didn’t know that there is this natural medication called Stemulite that can reduce soreness after the exercise. Otherwise it could be my life saver, as it is not only able to strengthen someone’s performance but also can increase the muscle gain and endurance. Yes, they have fitness formula for women, not only for men (body builders, athletes, etc). Being a natural supplement, Stemulite also helps in weight loss and sleeping problem.

There is also BMI (Body Mass Index) calculator in the website. I just entered mine and it seems that I am underweight. -__-”

Rant of upcoming election – 9th April

We are 10 days away from the election day. If I’m not mistaken, it’s the first time ever that we (Indonesian) get to choose the parliaments members ourselves instead of choosing the political party and let them do the job in picking who to sit in the parliament.

It is a good thing but on another side it doesn’t seem to be a very good/efficient idea especially since we have 44 political parties! As if that is not enough, one political party can have more than 10 candidates and according to research, there is around 481 candidates in total. Whoa! I don’t understand why can’t one political party just nominate 1 or 2 person? Why do we need to have such a competition in one political party? My small little brain doesn’t have the room to digest this.

Mock up of the election paper

Anyway, the huge number of candidates contributes alot to the length of election paper which almost reach 1 meter, in details : 54 cm x 84 cm. *roll eyes* That’s more than half of my height already. I think we will break the world record for having the longest election paper ever. Or is there any country with longer election paper? :P

Eh wait.. That’s not the end of our misery yet, cause everyone will be given 4 papers instead of 1, since we will have to vote for 4 different kind of parliaments (whatever the name is). I don’t think 5 minutes is enough for one person to go in the cubicle, unfold the 4 papers, look for the particular party, tick the particular nominee and fold the papers back. Even filling the registration form to be a member of chick flick book club books is not that complicated.

I already felt confuse when I saw the mock up (above picture). I get even confuse when I step out of the house, cause the caleg‘s (read: the legislative candidate) faces are everywhere; on billboard, on trees, on the electricity pole, on somebody’s house door, on pedicabs, literally everywhere! My brother’s teacher in school even throws out this joke, that every five years the trees will have a guard, something like that cause they stick the candidates’ posters on the tree.

End of the rant. I don’t want to go into the rant about the candidates or the silly campaign’s posters.

Move Hosting Again

I hate moving, virtually and in real life. The packing and unpacking activity is just too tiring and frustrating. But we can’t run away from it this time. Sigh.

It’s been a good 6 months of hosting our sites (mine and boyfriend’s) at Lunarpages until a month ago or so. There was over-usage and we have been moved to cloud server. Lunarpages has been so kind to give us time to lower down the usage so that we can get back to the normal server (whatever the name is), instead of kicking us out and leaving us homeless. :P

Although there is a constant messaging between the support center and boyfriend, but the over-usage problem still exists. We have done our best by cleaning up the sites and installing WP Super Cache plugin. Yes, it does lower the usage but not low enough so that we can move back to the normal server. So frustrating, okay? Especially since the support center keeps telling us about the new stat and asks how do we want to proceed from here, without really giving us a solution.

So, we thought probably Lunarpages can’t handle so many WordPress sites. We have around 10 and are poor enough to upgrade to dedicated server (again, whatever the name is) like what Lunarpages suggests. Hence, we started to hunt for a new affordable ‘house’ (read: hosting) that can afford our need and decided to try WPwebhost, as they claim that they specializes in hosting WordPress-powered websites.

So, there we go. Move to a new hosting. Like in the real life (as in moving house), the packing and unpacking stuffs is done mostly by boyfriend. :P

Now, I just hope that we can stay longer in the new ‘house’ without the need to move out anytime soon. And, it would be oh so great if this blog is shortlisted under the top 10 modern&elegant category in Best WordPress Design Award by WPwebhost, cause that means I could stand a chance to win free hosting. Hehe..

LG KF350 ice cream or Nokia 6600 fold

Buying a new mobile phone is one of the items in my wishlist this year. I don’t aim for something biggie and super hi-tech like iPhone or Blackberry but a cute pink flip phone.

I am super sick of using this fugly cheapo Nokia 1208, go ask Mr.Google if you want to see how ugly it is. So, I thought it is time for me to have a new one after few years of using ugly cheapo phone. Time to pamper myself. Hehe.. After all, I seldom buy any gift for myself aside from the Canon Ixus 870.

After many thoughts and comparing the features and price in gsmarena.com, I find myself in between LG ‘ice cream’ KF350 and Nokia 6600 fold.

  • Both is flip phone and in pink! except that LG has a softer pink and Nokia is more towards purple.
  • Price wise, LG KF350 is slightly cheaper than Nokia 6600 fold.
  • The above point also means it doesn’t have so much feature (no 3G, display is TFT 256K colors only, no video) like Nokia 6600 fold.
  • Size wise, LG ice cream is slightly bigger but thinner and lighter (102 g), with dimensions 100.9 x 50.9 x 14.8 mm. While Nokia 6600 fold weighs 110g with dimensions 87.7 x 44 x 15.9 mm.
  • Surprisingly LG ice cream’s camera is 3.15 MP with 2048×1536 pixels, while Nokia 6600 fold is 2 MP only with 1600×1200 pixels but it has LED flash. This point is not so important cause I won’t use it as my primary camera.

I am very much standing on LG ice cream’s side now. :P No doubt, it is the soft pink color that makes me ‘fall in love’ with it on the first sight. Besides, I think I have been brainwashed after reading so many review/advertorial of LG ice cream on Nuffnang-ers blogs. Damn, I am an advertising victim!

Inside my pink purse

It was on last 2 week when I attended this birthday dinner of my Dad’s friend. Besides karaoke-ing, they also had some gaming session where the MC asked 3 people, whom own (at least) 10 credit cards, to go on the stage. I thought it was quite impossible but these 2 middle age uncles and 1 middle age auntie went on the stage and shown us their credit cards. Wow.. I wonder what do they do with so many credit cards and how much debt could they have.

credit cardOn the other side, I own zero credit cards. Really. My pink purse has so little card that I think it doesn’t look like a purse. I only have: IC card, the one and only atm card, student card (I know, it’s been 2 years since I graduated from college. But I have this *cough cough* baby face, some people think that I’m still a student. That means I can get discount at some places by showing my student card that has no expired date. Hehe..), driving license (which is pretty useless) and NPWP card (taxing card, I even photostat a few pieces, ready to go overseas anytime. lol.).

card-purse

I tried to apply for a credit card on my first 3 months of working, cause it had so many promotions such as: Buy-1-Free-1 ticket at Cinema 21, 15% discount at Pizza Hut, etc. But it wasn’t approved, probably because my salary was not high enough and I had too little saving in my account back then. After the rejection, I never bother to apply anymore.

Besides, whenever I go to the mall and come across a credit card counter, the salesman never wants to approach me but my brother whom is still underage to apply for a credit card. Oh well, they just miss a potential client cause they misjudge the cover.

Now, if you have 10 credit cards or more, please raise your hand. :D
