After so much consideration, it finally came to this decision that I’ll be back to university and continuing my degree. Hopefully at the end of July’s intake, when I will be studying while continue freelancing to afford my living cost yadayada.

Something to be noted here, I was waiting in the marketing department and having a conversation with a lady whom also waiting there. We talked in Malay mixing with English. She asked about my status or something like that, in which I replied,”I dah graduate” (read: I already graduated). But she heard it as,”Eh? I takde duit?” (read: I have no money?) lol. My pronunciation s*cks, results in a misleading. Bleh.

It will took me another one and a half year (3 semesters) to finish the degree. Tuition fee is sky high, I almost fainted down when seeing the numbers. Foundation fee (in 2004) used to be RM10,000 only for 1 year and now it is RM16,500 for 1 year foundie. Whew..

To continue degree, 1 semester is at RM9,775. Total 3 semesters = RM29,325 excluding additional fees such as personal bond (refundable), security deposit (refundable), medical fee, resources fee, admin fee, yadayada. I regret that I have taken out all those refundable fee otherwise I wouldn’t need to pay those anymore.

This time around, I’ll be paying everything myself as my parents still have to prepare for my brother’s education on next year. Besides tuition fee, there is a few things that I’m worrying about such as accommodation and laptop. Obviously I can’t bring my Dell PC from hometown to here. The only choice is to use the old-five-years-old-Acer laptop first until I can afford a better one. I might need to upgrade the notebook computer memory since it is only 512RAM. Open a huge file in Photoshop and doing another stuff in Illustrator, it will crash and lag. Sigh.

As a help, I will be applying for scholarship. The normal scholarship (open for all) will be opened on June, while the scholarship specifically for Indonesian, 10% to 50% – of course I’m aiming for 50%, is opened now. It is not just submitting documents but applicants are required to create an artwork with certain theme on A2 board with deadline in the middle of May. No 3D artwork but 2D. Gotta get my hands dirty with drawing and painting!

Lady luck, please stand on my side. Santa, please fulfill my early Christmas wish, you know how I want to get this (at least) 50% scholarship so badly.
