…after almost 24 hours of having no internet. When the led light turn red out of a sudden yesterday afternoon, I thought it was just a normal case and would be back in few minutes. I was busy with offline work and preparing myself to attend my friend’s wedding reception, so I left it there until this noon when I came back from breakfast + grocery shopping + lunch with family.
Thumbs up to “Speedy” for having such a good customer service (though the internet package is oh so expensive), whom called me back in less than 30 minutes and guide me throughout the process. And hey, it’s Sunday! Tenkiu beri beri muchh!
Now, let the pictures do the talking since I’m going out (soon).

With the newlywed and senior high school mates. There was a sudden incident (The cooking gas leaked and KABOOM. At least 20 kitchen staffs were injured badly.) happened at the restaurant on Friday night. Luckily everything is under control already.

Thanks to my Dad, I had a sneak peek of Inul Vista Medan (not just another Karaoke spot) just now. Soft opening on June 3rd, more pics later.

Large mirror is good for taking self picture.

The curl, whole head except my bang.
The title says it all. After 3-4 years of leaving my hair free from harmful-yet-makes-one-looks-beautiful kind of hair styling process, such as rebonding, I decided to perm it to ease my life in growing my hair. Cause I can’t stand the messy hair once it reaches shoulder-length. That’s when I normally quit from growing it and chop it to short Bob again.

I headed to the usual saloon at 9am and finished at 11.30am. My short hair went from natural straight to curly in less than 3 hours. My first time and it’s faster than my expectation. Whew… Besides, the process is less hassle and less tiring than rebonding or smoothing.

Total damage is IDR1,015,000 where half of it goes to the Kerastase products – shampoo and hair care. This should be the biggest ‘investment’ that I have ever made to my hair.
Happy soul now. Will post the aftermath picture later. And, I guess it’s time for me to change the character illustration on the right hand side of this blog.
… cause I manage to do the following things which I won’t be doing on the usual day:
Went to the wet market with Mum
Recently my Dad has been telling me the same thing over and over again,”Eh other people’s daughter will accompany the mother to wet market but I never see you doing so?” And, he continued to answer it himself,”I know la, other people’s daughter might be too free while you have tonnes of work to do. You are your own Boss and your own worker, Sunday also need to work sometimes.” So, since we had black out since 8am, I followed my Mum to wet market after breakfast.
Continue reading the motivational book that I won – Great Failures of the Extremely Successful
I had read 3/4 of the book few months ago but somehow lost the interest to read any books/novels/chiclits. So, the book has been sitting in my drawer for 2 months or so. If the black out wasn’t scheduled to happen today, I guess I won’t be touching the book anytime soon. It feels good to continue reading it, as I am very much in need of some positive input now. Life isn’t smooth for the past week, except on the job side.
The trip to Redang seems not going to happen cause Laguna Redang Resort is fully booked (the travel agent said so) except the suite room (which cost twice than the standard room). It’s a long story of unpleasant experience with another travel agent. A week in KL is not fun at all. Hence, I need to think of other alternative (read: other travel destination, either in Malaysia or somewhere near the country, but obviously not Thailand) and to make thing worse, our departure day is less than 3 weeks away. And, it is on middle of June the peak season! Ugh.
Shopping with Mum
Today’s blackout has been informed on the newspaper 2 days ago, so I suggested to go Sun Plaza since I am looking for a dress. Remember I have two wedding receptions to attend this weekend and Monday? And, after doing wardrobe survey, I think I only have 1 decent dress. So, off we go for hunting. We went in to at least 20 boutiques and still can’t find the dress that I like and suits me. First, it is either the dress is too casual or it is too much (more towards gown). Second, it doesn’t have my size or I look too skinny in it.
Actually, I saw one cute-short-white-dress-with-pink-bow but Mum complained that it is shoulderless. She scared that the dress might drop off since I am too skinny. -___-” I finally found one, not like what I imagined but it is not bad. I definitely gonna get that cute-short-white-dress-with-pink-bow after I manage to fatten myself.
After 3 hours shopping (included having a short break at Es Teler 77 and enrolling into Unicef program), we headed back home. Few minutes after that, the electric was back. Yay!
I feel so much better now compare to the mood this morning. Thanks to the blackout, I can have a different routine than usual.
I had a meet up with the girls and the boys at Sun Plaza (again), as the soon-to-be-bride (standing at the left hand side) wanted to give her wedding invitation to us. After lunch and chit chatting, a few of us walked around the mall for 1 – 2 hours and I already felt tired. But I didn’t even wear any high heel. Duh, should have listen to my Mum and eat the nutritional health supplements daily instead of once in a week or so.

I told a friend of mine: after getting married, one by one is staying at other cities – outside the Sumatra island. By the time it is our turn to tie the knot, there will be no one attending our wedding reception.
*exaggeration mode on*
She suggested to do ‘nikah tamasya’ – honeymoon wedding something like that, since wedding reception is just a waste of money, better use the fund to travel around the world and the reception/dinner itself is oh so boring. True enough. But, it comes back to the person himself/herself.
Whatever, I have other thing to worry about. Two wedding reception to attend this weekend and I have no decent dress to wear. Duh.
The term everyone here refers to my school mates/friends, female especially, whom are at the same age with me. Probably because next year was our year (according to chinese astrology or shio) and it wasn’t good if one were to get married on his/her ‘year’. Damn banyak pantang la chinese.
As of what I know, last month two of my high school friends had just tied the knot with the love of their life. A simple registration at the neighborhood country. After that, there is one coming on December this year.

Few days ago a high school friend told me on sms, that she wanna gives an invitation to me. My mind loaded so fast and I immediately realized that she is getting married! Although the last time we met, which is 4 months ago, she never mentioned about this. The reception will be held on June 1st, a week from now. I just received the invitation card today.
Then, a few minutes ago another high school friend just handed me her wedding invitation and reception will be held on May 30th. Whew..
And, boyfriend’s friend will tie the knot on September.
See, I told you, everyone is getting married this year.
This is also a sign that I am aging. Wtf so fast already step into the getting-married-phase. In a blink of eyes it will be having-baby-phase. Oh no… I want to be forever 21 can? *self denial mode on*
