Princess life in Sibu
It’s been 10 days since we came to Sibu, boyfriend’s hometown. Life here is as good as in Medan, or even better. I’ve been eating at least 4 meals in a day; breakfast, lunch, tea time, dinner and sometimes supper. With that kind of eating frequency, others would need appetite suppressant already to prevent gaining more weight. On another side, I hardly gain weight, probably 1 kg only. Not something to be proud of though.
Sibu airport is slightly smaller than Polonia airport (Medan). But they have more than enough trolleys for the passengers and less messy than Medan airport. No one will keep on bugging you with their services, i.e. trolley, taxi, etc.
There is an Indonesian maid at home taking care of boyfriend’s Grandpa and the house chores. Her work is not as good as the maid back in Medan, but it’s better than nothing. The town is small, but environment is so much cleaner and greener than Medan. Everytime we drive back home, we will be greeted by the 8 dogs.

Sibu’s signature drink – 3 layered tea.
Almost everything that I want and need is available here, except that they only have a few shopping complex and no Padang foods (read: sate padang, nasi padang, etc). But why does one need shopping mall if we can buy stuffs online? Talk about convenient and cheaper price.
During the mooncake festival, one of the landmarks in Sibu was filled with 7000 lanterns or so. While Medan, the so called 3rd largest city in Indonesia, continues to have daily black out. Ironic eh?
Bottom line, everything is good, except that we are facing huge trouble with the legal stuffs. It doesn’t go as smooth as we expected. We are being ping-pong-ed here and there. Problem doesn’t come from Malaysia government (as they are helpful enough) but Indonesia Consulate who said that the law has changed. It’s a long story, I better save it for next time.
Now I need to fill my stomach before thinking about the next step. This mind can’t work well when I’m hungry.

OMG.. those lanterns are amazing!!
