Finding Foods on Raining Day

Weather has been crazy lately. It rains for almost everyday though it is oh-so-sunny few hours ago. I am craving for kompia, the local ‘bread’, so the three of us (me, my boy and his friend) decide to head off to usual tea time place. Nearby the kopitiam is a small park for jogging and running, free and best cholesterol treatment ever.

But, it rains cats and dogs out of a sudden which almost brings down our plan. Ugh. Then we remember of a kompia stall at central market since they have indoor parking. Luckily it is opened. But the kompia isn’t as good as the usual tea time place at Rejang Park there. Less meat and less omphh effect.

I miss Medan’s snack and junk food! Sate padang, martabak coklat, ouh…. slurrpp..

My Custom Made Cheongsam

Just got my cheongsam on the evening of Chinese New Year Eve, which means it takes almost 2 months to get this done. The cloth was bought at Kamdar store when we visited Kuching last December. I can’t remember the exact price but it’s super cheap; 2 meter for RM10 or so only. It costs RM65 for sewing and the beautiful buttons.

It looks quite good though the sewing isn’t as neat as I expected. Some more it isn’t body hugging enough to show off the curve. Most probably the auntie is giving me some space to grow fatter. :P Better than getting a smaller size of cheongsam, I might need phentermine reviews to fit this stomach in.

Well, it’s my first cheongsam and I’m loving it. I still have about 1 meter cloth left in my wardrobe. Not sure what to do with it. Hmm..

Firecrackers Party is On!

It is my second time celebrating Chinese New Year in Sibu and also my first time witnessing the Chinese New Year Eve here. Thanks to that, I finally found one good reason to love this town which is the firecrackers party!

No need to squeeze in with the crowd and trapped in traffic jam (like in Cemara Asri Medan) just to see the beautiful firecracker on New Year Eve. Just drive to the housing area or stand in the house balcony and I can see various kind of beautiful firecrackers already. :D Free entertainment and natural treatment for depression at the same time!

Happy Chinese New Year~!

Wedding Pics is here!

Pfiuh! Finally we received our actual-day-wedding photos (CD only lo, where is the 100 print out pics as we agreed on?) after a long waiting of more than 2 months. Longer than the time one has to wait to see the result of quick weight loss program. Sigh.

*rant mode on* I’ve anticipating to get it on January cause the photographer said he had too much order on December so have to wait until January. Fine, I’m very understanding one as long as you have a valid reason. *putting patient mode on although so curious to see the result*

Then I contacted the photographer again on the second week of January and I was asked to wait until the end of January. Fine, I didn’t mind giving more time. The promise date came but he still couldn’t deliver the photos and have to delay for another 1 week. The level of my patience already went down to 50%, out of 100%.

However, I thought it wasn’t so bad if he can deliver it one week later which is our 2nd monthiversary. But, he failed to meet his own deadline again. I lost my patience immediately. All the while it was me – as a client/customer – who asked the photographer about the deadline and delivery. I wonder if I didn’t ask, will he inform us about the delay of deadline consider that we (stupidly) paid full after the wedding ceremony was over.

After he failed to meet the previous deadline, he promised to deliver it 1 week later – on the week before Chinese New Year. We already predicted that it will be on CNY eve and yes it is.

Put aside the deadline problem, the photographer is very friendly actually. But still, it is a major downside if you are friendly but can’t meet your own deadline. For us who works on our own (not under any company), meeting deadline is extremely important. Not only that, we always remember to inform our clients about the latest progress instead of leaving them wondering and wondering.

Anyway, there is 296 pictures in total, covering the simple wedding ceremony in the morning, casual photoshoot in the afternoon and wedding banquet in the evening. Overall is good but I think it’s over edited and too much contrast . I would prefer a very minimal Photoshop work and rely more on one’s photography skill.

It will take me some time to upload those pics to our wedding site and my Facebook. Super lazy have to resize and upload. Bleh.

Yo Wassup

I’m having an early to bed and early to rise situation today. It feels oh so good to greet the sun by 7am. Besides that, waking up at such early hour means tunning on Hitz.fm for the Morning Crew session. Their Gotcha! prank is my fave one while taking college bus in the morning. Thanks to internet I get to listen to the channel despite the location. Hehe.

Moving on to my latest news. Finally we decided to book the flight ticket after asking about the procedure of applying long term social visit pass (6 months – 1 year) at the M’sia immigration in town. According to the officer, it will take at least 3 months until I can get that pass and we can only start applying when we have the marriage certificate from both countries (Indonesia and Malaysia). He was kind enough to gave us the list of necessary docs. Hah, another waiting to go. More patient is needed.

feb-march-flight

Anyway, we will be in KL on 26th Feb (night flight), spends few days there to meet local clients and friends before we fly to Medan on 3rd March. It’s going to be a long visit as we’ll be in Medan until 28th March. More than 3 weeks, should be enough to settle the marriage registration there and the 3 months social pass, also to meet up with friends and indulge myself with Mum’s cooking & Medan’s foods. Slurrpiee… And buy some stuffs to bring over here, i.e. Anilox cleaning and refill ink kits – the kit costs IDR100.000 only and here it costs RM100, thrice the price, can’t understand why.

With that said, I’ll be back to Medan after Chinese New Year is over. Slightly run away from our earlier plan.
