Here’s my last post for Bali. Pfiuh! Not much to do, hence not many pictures. Besides, we have run out of place to visit on day 5.
Monday, May 10 We actually have the dilemma: hire the driver for our last day in Bali or not. From our hotel to airport is just 15 minutes, but our flight was re-timed to later 9pm something (Airasia sent out the notification one month in advance) while check-out time is 12 noon. We end up ask the driver to come around 12 noon, check out from hotel and off for city tour until 7pm which is more to visiting museum and check out document management software (read: visit shopping mall).
#1 Museum Bali – IDR2,000 for domestic // IDR5,000 for foreigner

We actually don’t have much interest in museum. But no where to go already, so let’s be historical a bit.
After paying the entrance tickets, there is a man following us, introduces himself as the museum’s guide and mentions the price we need to pay (more expensive than the entrance ticket). We refuse and choose to explore the museum ourselves, it’s not that big after all.
#2 Matahari Department Store // Ayam Betutu for lunch // two hours spa

Traffic in Denpasar city isn’t that smooth as well. From museum we move on to a small shopping complex, mainly consisted of Matahari Department store.
After that, we have one of the must-eat dished: Ayam Betutu for lunch. We go for 1/2 portion of chicken instead of duck cause my boy dislike it. It tastes oh so delicious and spicy at the same time, resulting in me having red lip, sweat, and somewhat running nose. That’s the excitement of eating local foods. It costs IDR55,000 only after 10% tax.
Next, we drove back to Kuta for two hours spa and massage session. It’s not even good, full stop. Heritage spa in Medan is even better. Better luck next time.
From there, we go to Mal Bali Galeria nearby airport to kill the time and had a quick dinner at Pizza Hut. It has a combination of outdoor and indoor shopping complex, love it so much!
Reached Ngurah Rai airport on 7pm. Upon entering the international departure hall, there is security check point and passengers aren’t allowed to bring mineral waters anymore. Suddenly everyone is like in drinking competition, trying to finish their mineral water before dump it to rubbish bin.
The flight is delayed for a while. The waiting room is oh so crowded with dim lights. Tired. Ugly mood. Not a good way to end our fabulous trip. We end up arrive KL at midnight. Should have listened to Mom’s word: Avoid night flight at all cost! There will be delay most of the time.
THE END. Hoping to go back Bali for culinary trip and relax at Seminyak, Sanur, Lovina, and other beaches that we haven’t discovered yet. ![]()
