Saloon’s Smell Is So Therapeutic

Seriously it’s much more therapeutic than spending money in shopping. :P The last time I went to saloon was on March when I went back hometown, had hair-cut + color + perm. After that I never stepped into any saloon and just let the hair grows.

I’ve been wanting to have a haircut since last 2 months or so, but didn’t trust the saloons in Sibu. Sorry eh, after the fugly make-up and hairstyle on my wedding day in Sibu (am still angry and gonna cry if I remember about this issue), I just can’t trust any of the beauty + hair vendors there.

So I thought, let’s do it when we move to KL. And here we are now, except there is too much choices in KL and I don’t know which vendor is good one. Heh, I’m so picky when it comes to hair. I’ve been delaying it for few weeks and decided to just go with the newly opened A-Saloon at nearest mall this afternoon – link here.

Hair cut + wash + dry for RM38 only, seeing the price does make me worry. You know, the old saying: you get what you pay for. But then, never try, never know. I requested for a medium shoulder haircut. Incase if the new haircut turns up as a disaster, I can find other saloon and cut it shorter. :P

new-haircut

Fortunately the haircut turns up OK. It took me 1 hour only from wash to haircut to blow-dry.

I enjoyed the wash-hair process very much, oh so therapeutic. They used warm water and quite gentle in washing hair, unlike shampoo girl in my hometown – tends to splash water on customer’s face. -__-” Another good thing, the staffs didn’t try to sell whatsoever haircare products, otherwise it’ll be so annoying.

The interior is oh so modern, see their picture gallery here. Another awesome thing, customers are able to online with the PC. Every seat has one. Imagine online shopping for diamond stud earrings while having hair treatment. ;)

Anyway, had a little conversation with the stylist whom cut my hair, a young man in his 20s I suppose. He heard that hubby was speaking to me in Hokkien dialect, vice versa. So he asked if I’m Hokkien lang, which I’m not, but it’s my mother language.

Then somehow I told him that I’m not Malaysian, but Indonesian.

Stylist: Oh, so you studying now?
Me: Erm.. No, I graduated already (self talk: 4 years ago, in fact)
Stylist: So.. you are on a holiday? Or working?
Me: Erm.. No, I’m married already (self talk: this explains why a foreigner like me can stay in this country)

Somehow I found the above conversation was a bit awkward. :P

Where Does The Time Fly

Eh? It’s Monday already? And this Friday is the last day of the month before we enter November? What? We only have 2 months left before 2011 comes? I am not so ready yet to enter my mid 20, I still want to be in my early 20s can? Cause it sounds… young. :P

I don’t want to be rushed by hometown neighborhood aunties on when are we going to have a baby. This is unavoidable question once you get married, especially on the 1st year of marriage. If they still don’t see you carrying a baby on second year, those aunties might create assumption that you’re having fertility problem or so, while we just want to concentrate on business. Hey, we only have 10 years of being 20s. Not gonna waste it by following the norm – married then follows by baby. We’ll have one when we are ready, not just financially but emotionally ready.

Besides baby issue, they also tend to say “O-mai-gawd, you’re so skinny. Eat more, my dear.” Eh? If eating more meal or increase my portion can fattening me or increase my weight, then decreasing weight or diet will be very easy also, no? Just reduce the amount of meal, then what for diet pills right?

The worse thing is, I can only smile and nod head to whatever the elderly are saying in the name of respect. While deep down inside I’m very itchy and can’t stand wanting to give my own opinion, but that will be seen as disrespect to them.

End of rant. My cup is half empty now, ready to be filled with more positive stuffs.

Lovely Creative Headboard

Aside from wedding sites, I am now adding home + office decor sites into my daily dose of inspiration, a must-read before I start the day like how acne treatment creams is a must use for me.Talk about early research of decor planning for our future dream home. :D I especially love the before-after section from designspongeonline and house tour from apartmenttherapy.

Now, today’s finding is related to bedroom. Something that isn’t as essential as a bed, but it still plays quite a part to enhance our sleeping experience. Surely you can guess it from the image below. :)

Yeap, it’s the custom headboard; can be painting, damask pattern, vintage, etc. Oh so lovely! I’m putting this into my wishlist. It’s gonna be our future DIY project where we implement our artwork on it. *continue dreaming*

Our Temporary Work Station

Moving to another state means we have to leave our working table, chairs, and white board behind. So currently we are working from living room with the view to the field. Can see people playing football in the morning and evening.

temporary-office

What a temporary work station. I can’t even place my 20″ LCD, hence using laptop screen at the moment. Still finding the right table that suits us and can fit in the space, still finding the right apartment, blablabla. We are taking baby step to fully settling down. :D

And so I’ve been looking online for home-office’s inspiration while searching for diet plans that work for my bro. Found this work-station from Share some candy that I like very much. First reason, very obvious, because it’s white! :P Love the racks as well.

Oh, it was raining this afternoon and I told hubby how awesome it is if we can have a small patio with comfy chair. Imagine myself sitting there reading a magazine, sipping a cup of hot tea + biscuits while enjoying the breeze with rain’s sounds. Talk about taking a short break from work and deadline. And that patio on the picture above fits well in my imagination! :D

On our way to fulfill the dream home office!

A Little Self Control

Something happened few days ago that made me very upset and disappointed. It’s about appreciation, ethical, and common sense. Dig it to the root of the problem, it’s related to human ego.

Usually it will take me days until I can forget about that issue. Weird thing, this time it takes me one night only to forget it and back to my happy cheerful optimistic self, stuffing myself with vitamins online digest.

Told you, this year is full of patience’s testing for me. Guess it helps in growing process and self-control.
