Money Money Comes

Just when I thought the number of dogs in my parent-in-law’s house won’t increase, they bring back a black labrador, said to be just one month old. She’s too big size for that age I think.

All black except her paws area, there is somewhat white fur. I’m looking darker than before as well, as if just had tanning bed lotions from island getaway. No idea why, probably because the sun here is more sadistic and hot.

She is still small and looking cute, not sure if I’ll say so when she grows up. :P Quite obedient in my opinion, not sure if she will learn to be naughty though.

One thing for sure, she loves bitting stuffs since the first day arriving in the house. When we carry her, she will try to bite our finger. Ok, I take back my words, she has started to get naughty. Hmph.

And, guess what’s her name is? We have hitam and hei (both means black, one in Malay language, another one in Mandarin) in the house, so she’s taking the name “money”. Yes, my in-law is so creative in naming one. That’s why this post’s title is Money money comes. Not referring to the green paper but this black puppy. :P

Makes me wanting to raise a puppy on my own as well. Let’s wait for the right time?

Dark and Fair Skin

Hushaaa… It’s so easy to get on emotional, as in angry not the crying thing, cause weather is just oh so hot nowadays. Can feel as if the sun is biting my skin. That’s the reason I’m getting darker I guess. Just don’t let age spots come out and it’s good enough already.

But.. whatever with dark skin. Not like it’s a crime. It’s just the advertising or maybe society that cause us to think of getting fairer skin and skinny hot body. So what if we have a bit of fat and darker skin? Can be hitam manis (literally translated as black sweet), that’s a term in Indonesia language.

Just a random thought.

Morning meal

My typical breakfast is bread loaf with chocolate sprinkle / kaya / tuna spread / chocolate Nutella / scramble egg / whatever topping that you can think of, plus a cup of hot Milo or Oatmeal. I’ll have the bread while checking my email, facebook, twitter before starting with the real work.

On a more relaxing day where there is no urgent deadline or piles of work, we’ll go to mamak stall for breakfast. Roti Pisang with sambal – I dislike the curry – along with a cup of Teh Tarik (literally translated as pulled tea). Eating while seeing the activities around and overheard the people on the table next to us talking about diet pills that work or politics.

I’m a breakfast person, can’t skip it or this brain will refuse to stay focus and work well. :P

How’s Your Valentine’s Day?

While other couples had candlelight romantic dinner at some fancy restaurant/cafe whatever it is or taking vacation cruise to Bermuda, we had dinner with my in-laws at our fave restaurant. I would like to call it as crab’s party time!

It’s on top of my must-eat-foods in Sibu, cause of the reasonable (or even low) price RM19/kg and yummy taste – I like it with black pepper. If you notice at the top of the picture, there is a small hammer to help you in cracking the crabs.

That’s our Valentine’s Day this year. Dining with family, doesn’t sound romantic at all, but my stomach is happy. :P

Anyway, when I was a teenager, my ideal Valentine’s Day is to dine out with my love one along with gift like teddy bear & flowers. But as I grew up (or getting older maybe), my ideal V-day is to cook and dine at home! As simple as that.

I think most of the people have the same mindset like the teenage-me. Hence it’s hard to have a romantic candlelight dinner out there unless you book an expensive restaurant.

Otherwise, you will have to queue for hours and end up sharing table with other couples. If you’re lucky to get a table for two only, the distance between each table is only 15 – 30 cm (speaking from experience of dine out on V-day with my parents few years ago) cause some cafe/resto just want to maximize their income on V-day so they simply place extra chair & table. How to talk romantic with your partner like that? Not only that, (my) stomach will get upset due to long queue and have to wait for the food. Duh.

Another turn-off is, speaking from last year experience when we thought of dining out at cafe in Sibu, some cafes will only serve their so-called V-day package (appetizer, main course, dessert, drink, whatever it is) which is usually oh-so-expensive. Normal menu is unavailable on V-day. Wah, forcing people like that. I hate it the most.

So yeah, stay at home at such ‘peak’ hour is the best for us. Otherwise, do a booking on expensive restaurant. Or better, have a short getaway to beach/other countries.

Til V-day next year :D

From Beauty to Beast

After 4 months, my fave puppy (out of 10+ dogs in hubby’s house) Mei Jing has grown from a beauty – or rather handsome cause he’s a male – to a beast, sort of. He had a white and black fur when he just born, which turn into white and brownish as he grew up.

Recently while I was in Medan, I had a chatting with hubby about electric blanket on online messenger, just like the good old time, hubby said he looked ugly, dirty, and less fur. :(

I can’t stand seeing things looking dirty & unorganized. Luckily I managed to persuade hubby to bath Mei Jing and to trim his fur, it was all tangled at the back part, followed by combing his fur. He’s looking all good now, from grey fur to white fur again, I’m happy!

One thing, he can’t get away the bad habit which is eating his and other dogs’ poo. -__-”
