Seriously, out of no where the weather just turn upside down. No more rain, not just normal sunny day but with extra heat, and the wind is hot. The result: extra sweat and free sauna! Good side, no need heater as the water from tap/shower is hot enough even on midnight.
We’re staying indoor as much as possible during day time and only did the home-stuffs-shopping and moving in the evening for 7 days in a row, which is enough to drain our energy.
It was a fun one especially on IKEA day – Tuesday. But as I woke up this morning, I felt exhausted as if the sleep is not enough. It got me thinking if we were to move again in the next one year. Hell no! Such a nightmare. Give me a break, at least 2 years til our next moving, hopefully to our dream house.
But see the bright side, moving slowly is better than moving in one go, I believe it will be 100x more tiring especially in arranging stuffs. Well, tomorrow Monday is the peak/official moving day. Finally, phew.. Am hoping for a better weather.
Ok, picture time. Below is my ideal bedroom, in terms of color scheme – white and turquoise. How lovely!

Funny story from last weekend, we finished cleaning around evening, went down to the car park and an uncle was talking so loud in angry tone to the security guard that someone is parking at his space EVERYDAY (to quote him: hari-hari park tempat saya!).
Whoa, We giggled and wondered who did that. Then we got into our car & he got into his (opposite ours) then gave us you-damn-kanasai look. It got me thinking of what we did wrongly to him or could it be us that he referred to just now? But hey, he mentioned EVERYDAY and it was only our first day there. So.. can’t be bothered cause I am rushing for my yok3d review material.

Next day, we finished painting around dinner time, went to car park and found out our car was being clamped! Wtf? Amused, hubby went to ask the guard while the 3 of us looked around and realized it’s missing one number. Meaning we park at the wrong space. Blame the landlord for telling us wrong space & and careless us for not double confirming the number written on the parking lot.
Our memory flashed back and realized that blardy rude uncle was actually referring to us! Wtf? Here’s why I think he has an attitude or mind problem:
- Yesterday was our first day while he mentioned EVERYDAY. As of my understanding everyday refers to daily, not just one day or first day. He is so exaggerating and short tempered.
- He knew it was us who made mistake but instead of talking to us directly, he gave us that blardy look on the first day. Hello? We’re not just living in the same condo but same floor, so that makes us neighbor which might see each other pretty often at the lift, why can’t he talk things out, why the fuss, doh.
- It was our second day of parking at the wrong space & he already asked the guard to clamp our car.
Then it was all misunderstanding, no? But another blardy guard insisted us to pay by using a lame reason: We already wrote the receipt cannot cancel la, must pay. Even kid can tell that he wanted it as his own pocket money! We didn’t see why we should ‘feed’ him. Some more gave his gangster look, oh my.. feel like giving him middle finger. Wrong intention + wrong attitude = more hatred from the two of us.
At that stage my hatred already moved from the childish uncle to the blardy kanasai guard. Hate his blardy attitude, especially the asking money price, like it’s our responsible to give them extra money. Hell no! I have enough of it from my home country. Want to renew IC/passport, have to give some pocket-money so they can fasten the service. Want to avoid the hassle at airport, give the officer pocket-money. I know, $$ can settle problem faster but it will just lead to laziness to work. Guess I’ll save this topic for another blog post.
Anyway, we insisted him to call the owner, in which he did. Cut story short, it’s all settle peacefully. Happy ending. No money was harm in the process.
So we got the unit’s key at the end of last month, which was last week. Instead of rushing and move in one go, we did it step by step – luckily the new place is quite near from current one.
Here’s the progress:
- Last Saturday: clean up the whole dirty unit, just the 2 of us. Very tiring, a sign that we seldom do exercise = no stamina
- Last Sunday: paint the unit, just normal white paint, along with hubby’s friend & wife. More tiring than cleaning day, guess we all gained some muscle after that as if we had best creatine supplements.
- Last Monday: Went to Giant & Carrefour to buy some items and placed them at the new place.
- Last Tuesday: IKEA day, mainly to buy kitchen & dining items. Luckily all can fit in our sedan and no need to use their delivery service. Went back to assemble all parts together. Start to fill up the unit already.
- Last Wednesday: First, bought electronic stuffs from a shop within our area, delivered within one hour, fast service, we like! Second, bought curtains for 2 rooms, the other 2 will be from my Mum’s (our old curtains). Both of us are pretty shock with the ready-made curtain pricing, so expensive, let alone the custom-made one.
- Thursday/today: Went to buy more items from Carrefour.
Things are shaping up nicely. We’re moving the small size stuffs like books, office stationery etc day by day. Now waiting to move the rest of the huge size stuffs there by lorry and then wait for internet service. Our back-up P1 doesn’t work well there, so slow like dial-up, major turn down.
I have always associate IKEA with inspiration’s heaven, creative problem solver and expensive to me.
Yea right I know, they solve consumer’s problem & it comes with price. So all the while we just went there for sight-seeing and getting inspiration.
Well, not until yesterday when I continue surfed stuffs for our new place. I try my luck and browse through IKEA online catalog products. There I realized IKEA actually has a budget-friendly items (especially small stuffs) hidden under all those overrated price stuffs. Just need a little patient to find it.
Like how you can find great soccer trophies among so many stuffs in department store.

So I create my shopping list on the website, shared it with hubby and we defined a budget for it. It helps to keep us on track. Here’s what we got from today’s trip:
- FIXA 17-piece tool set at RM29
- S-hook 5pcs at RM5.90, was eyeing for another type S-Hook RM1.60/10pcs but couldn’t find it
- FNISS wasterpaper basket at RM2.80, transparent color, so chic!
- Black color chopping board at RM7.90. I know, what a weird color for a chopping board, but they don’t have the white one. Was eyeing for another type of 2 set at same price but out of stock already.
- Two LACK Side table at RM29.90/each. Not so white, more to creamy color.
- LAVER table and 4 chairs at RM195. Best deal ever!
- HAKE knife block with 4 knives at RM14.50
Total RM315 only, am loving the transparent basket and the dining set the most – best price! You won’t know how I felt so accomplished for meeting our budget and get the design that we like. Woohoo!
Can’t wait for the moving day to come!
