What circumstances in your life don’t match up to your dreams?
Just because things don’t look exactly like you wanted doesn’t mean God is not at work. God often chooses a more challenging route to His great destination to build our character and show His glory. Think about it: If you were able to accomplish everything on your own, would you really depend on Him? But no matter what, His promise still stands: “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (Jeremiah 29:11).
God is not finished with you yet. Keep trusting Him.
So this week, let us pray that:
- We would give our plan over to God
- We would walk in His perfect plan—and have peace doing so
- Global Media Outreach would hear God’s plan for us to reach the world
Anyway, Mum is back to Medan already. So we’re going to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival by just the two of us.
I can’t wait to go back hometown, two more months to go, argh…
It’s a long weekend for us cause my Mum was here since last Friday for medical check-up. After the first check-up on Friday afternoon, we went to a shopping mall nearby and bumped into a wedding expo.
Although we have passed those wedding-thingy period, we still went into the expo and check the photography package offered by local bridals. Well, not like one can’t go to atv winches expo if don’t own an atv.
This is something that I haven’t experience before, cause I was bridal-hunting with my parent instead of my husband-to-be due to the LDR status back then, while envying other women who were there with their fiance.
It brought back the familiar feeling of a bride-to-be, but not that anxious cause I knew we didn’t really really need the package, but just asked out of curiosity.
But actually we’ve been thinking about taking another pre-wedding pictures.
Ok, probably by now it’s not pre-wedding anymore, but let’s not care much about the term.
I know, our pre-wedding pictures are quite nice and beautiful. But it looks dead to us and it’s not ‘us’. I mean, it’s all about posing according to the photographer’s point of view.
For example (in Indonesia language): “Ci, kepalanya nunduk dikit, miring ke kanan dikit, dagu rapat ke dada, kaki kanan ke depan, kaki kiri ke belakang sedikit, senyum yg natural, tahan ya tahan, bagus, bla bla bla”.
Wahh, I (we) aren’t supermodel and I don’t recall signing up for a cover magazine/modeling photoshoot.
At the end of the day, we do look good in the pictures, nice makeup & hairstyle, everything looks so right and good, but it’s not ‘us’ at all. Just two person posing in wedding gown and tuxedo with beautiful scenery. *two thumbs down*
So, we want something that is more us. Once we look at the pic, there are items that represent us, dear to us, so us, places that contain our memory, etc. And definitely not looking like a supermodel, but two person who are in love.
I am so glad that we bumped into the wedding expo. I hope we’ll have something great by next year. Our home sweet home needs to be brighten up by our pictures.
Title sounds like I’m living a tai-tai life, glamorous eh? I wish. But hold on.
It’s free entrance. Courtesy of the big G a.k.a Google. Heh, lucky I spot on their annual event and registered the two of us under our business name.
I heard that it’s an annual event – G0 Measure with G00gle Analytics. The event’s name is so inviting and it’s held at Hilton KL, definitely not to be missed. After all, we’re doing online business and we built websites for clients, knowing more about G00gle Analytics will be a bonus.
It’s an afternoon event, from 2pm – 6.20pm. By far, this is my most favorite talk ever. Many speakers with limited presentation time – around 10 minutes for each person, but their talk are very straightforward and insightful. Unlike WordCamp MY/ID, where it’s mostly about networking not much to gain knowledge and insight.
I think this event is actually targeting to the big companies. Saw a few representative from local telco companies, online directory, etc. And I just knew about GACP – G00gle Analytics Certified Partner; the to-go-man (trusted expert) when you need to optimize your business site.
At the end of the day, we not only gain knowledge but also free notebook + pen upon registration and free meal – 3 times, upon registration, tea break and after the event (yummy mini cakes!)

If you haven’t play around with the new G00gle Analytics, what you waiting for? Lots of hidden gem there. Will update this post with their presentation slider once they are shared online.
It’s a long public holiday (full one week) here in Malaysia due to Eid Mubarak, so we took three days off to the beach. I learn the art of doing nothing during vacation, which is just to eat, relax, and enjoy the sea breeze. No work related stuff.

Anyway, we’re back yesterday. I bring a gift (read: scar) on my face, accidentally scrub the sand on my dearest face. It’s a one dramatic moment once I landed my face on the sand. But, all is well. Lucky I brought Betadine along out of so many medicine, cause I know the chance of me hurting myself at an outdoor activity is pretty high.
Overall is a great experience and simply enjoyable to be away from metal buildings & hustle bustle city, except that I don’t like the resort very much. Old, worn out, not enough caring, more on this on the next post.

After we’re home, we went to IKEA and grab different chairs for the two of us. Previous office chair’s wheel is broken down and due to whatever reason I used our dining chair temporarily + turquoise-dot-pattern-chair-pad from Daiso.
Now I can have a fully-functioned office chair! Can lay my head on the back whenever I’m tired. Happy yeayayay.. But not sure how friendly the material is with the hot weather. I’m worry that my butt will sweat like no tomorrow.
Happy Friday, peeps~!
