Weekend Getaway: Melaka

I’ve been craving for a short break, away from this hustle bustle city. Besides it’s been a while since we last went for a trip with just the two of us. So off we went for a pretty spontaneous road trip down to Melaka on the weekend.

We arrived at around 5pm and headed to Jonker Walk straightaway. The Stadthuys area was jam-packed with vehicles from local and Singapore like usual.

Strolling down Jonker Walk in the evening time is much fun compare to day time under the hot scorching sun. All stalls are open, so much to see (from Kangol hats to handbags) and to eat. We tried different kind of finger foods and our favorite is curry fish balls, love the curry favor!

We realized there was quite a few antique shops around Jonker Walk, something that we didn’t pay much attention to last time. But it’s pricey, some old stuffs are sold at a ridiculously high price if compare to an antique shop in KL.

Headed back home on Sunday noon after having the not-so-delicious A’famosa chicken rice ball for brunch.
