When I addict to K-drama

In Oh Dal Ja’s Spring, Kang Tae Bong, 27 yo, is 6 years younger than Oh Dal Ja,33 yo.

In real life, they are different 6 years too. Chae Rim who play Dal Ja’s character was born on 1979 while Lee Min Ki, who play as Kang Tae Bong, was born on 1985.

Hah! That charming boy is just a year older than me. He looks even more charming than Rain. It’s the lips, yes, the lips that attracts people. And also the eyes.

The series itself is so attractive too. The first two episodes is a bit boring but after that, it attracts you more and more. After one episode, you will feel like watching the next one and so on. Oh my.. It’s the result if you follow drama series.

How I spend my holiday at home

It’s been a good holiday for me. Anyway, It’s not that hard to go through this 10 days holiday at home. Just a blink of eyes and it’s Monday. Tomorrow I’ll be off to Brastagi, Karo Highland and will be back on Wednesday. Ah.. working day is coming and the day when I step out of the company and never come back again is getting nearer and nearer. I can’t wait for it to come. Weheee….I’ve sticked myself to Astro with E! News – about Hollywood stars’ news, THS (True Hollywood Story), Taiwan drama, Singapore drama, etc. Not to forget this interesting and funny Korean Drama, Dal Ja’s Spring. A friend of mine lend me the DVD with 8 pieces of DVD and 3 episodes in one DVD.

The story revolves around Dal Ja, a single woman in the age of 33 yeras old, an MD of a home shopping channel, and how she finds her true love with 3 men in her life; a flirty colleague – Shin Se Do, a 27 yo fake boyfriend/lover contract/spare tyre – Kang Tae Bong, a perfect gentleman – Um Ki Jeong. Who is her real true love? Hm..

OhDalJaSpring

The story is interesting and funny, a great companion in free time, unlike some Korean Dramas that have so many crying scenes or two people loving each others but they can’t be together because of some reason and it takes such a long time and effort to be together. It’s great to see Chae Rim again in a totally different character from the one in All About Eve. But I don’t like the make up with dark circle around the eyes. So not her I think. Well, that’s just a cast in a drama anyway. If you like Full House, you will like this series too.

Would you be there

The song of the week, Would you be there by Redwan Ali, the ending theme for Mars Vs. Venus series. I’ve fallen for the melody since the first time I listen to it.

The meaningful lyric adds in the beauty.

If I were blue
Would you be there for me?
And whisper in my ears that’s ok
Would you stand by me?
Let me hold you tight
And say you love me one more time
If I feel good
Would you slow dance with me?
And touch my lips with tender loving care
Would you die for me?
Would you run with me?
And never look back?

Would you be there to love to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true
Would you say that you’ll always be the one
To take my breath away?
Would you be there to love to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you’ll always be the one
To take my breath away?

Would you be there?
If I’m away
Would you still think of me?
And wish that you could hold me now
Would you die for me?
Would you run with me?
All the way?

Would you be there to love to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true
Would you say that you’ll always be the one
To take my breath away?
Would you be there to save my soul tonight?
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you’ll always be there
To kiss my pain away?

Would you be there to love to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true
Would you say that you’ll always be the one
To take my breath away?
Would you be there to save my soul tonight?
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you’ll always be there
To kiss my pain away?

Would you be there?
For me?

When horror movies dominate the cinemas

It’s been almost 2 months since my last step in the cinema. The latest movie that I watched would be ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’. So I flipped through today’s newspaper and checked for the latest movies in the cinemas. Half of it is Western movie which is quite ‘old’ and another half is Indonesian movie. Well, seems that Indonesia movie is in the hot hot era, very productive. Let’s see what they are.

First one, horror movie ‘LAWANG SEWU’. It’s been there since last few weeks.

Second one, another horror movie ‘JELANGKUNG 3′.

Wtf? All the Indonesia ghosts has come to the cinema. -__-” What’s next? Better go buy Rp. 6.000,- DVD at the road side. I can get the newest movies there.

Mars Vs Venus (Recommended)

I’ve loved Singapore movie ever since I saw ‘The Best Bet (????)’ followed with ‘I Do. I Do (????) ‘, ‘One More Chance (3???)’, ‘I Not Stupid Too (????2)’ and so on until the latest one would be ‘Just Follow Law’. Mostly or perhaps all that I mention are written and directed by Jack Neo. A talented man. Well, let’s not talk about him this time.

Mars_vs_Venus

Recently, I’ve been hooked on another insightful Singapore drama, ‘Mars Vs Venus’. It’s showing on Astro Shuang Xing every 6.30pm Indonesia time with 20 episodes. I reach home about 6pm, take bath, eat some small foods and sit nicely in front of the TV from Monday to Friday. The title tells everything. It’s about man and woman relationship. It will point out some important points and the problems with man and woman and put it in a quote. I find it’s so real and insightful. It reflects back on our society and problems around us. Not always serious, with some fun and jokes of course.

StevenWenJing

The story starts with 3 good friends, all married. First couple, Wen Jing and Steven, married for 8 years with 2 kids because of ‘accident’. She is a full time housewife who cares about the family so much, very good in saving, a good mum but doesn’t mean a good wife though. Being married for years, she forgets to take care of her appearance and somehow shows the respect to her husband in a wrong way. While the husband loves to buy 4D hoping one day will get rich. He’s caring to his children but doesn’t mean is a good husband too. Both of them has lost the spark in their relationship, things getting fade, and they are lacking in communication. Plus the mother in law who loves to goes in their problems. The come-back of the former girlfriend adds in spices to their relationship. The missing piece in Steven’s life is soon been replaced by her. Something so simple can be so complicated.

WilliamZiling

Second couple is William and Ziling who is a happy newly-weds with 6 months wedding period. She used to be a model, very pretty, doesn’t know how to do housework but lucky they are staying with William’s sister whom is a spinster. She also wants to have baby so much. But problem is, the husband doesn’t ready for that yet. Even though he isn’t ready, he loves and care the wife so much. Everyone will be jealous with their relationship.

CarmenHand

Third one is Carmen and the rich husband who loves having affairs with other woman and somewhat dies on one of the affair’s house. That makes her become so insecure and want to take revenge, that’s why she become the 3rd party in others relationship. She once asked why all the good men in the world is belongs to other women and not her. This feeling brings her to feel jealous with her best friend’s (Zi Ling) relationship that she tries to seduce Zi Ling’s husband too. “A cup of coffee can be cold, ice cream can be watery too, sooner or later a good man will turn to a bad man too.”,she said something like that.

Besides that, there is a story between Yulian, William’s sister and Ah Wu, a rich man. Both already has some ages but still single.

It brings us to step back so that we can see the problems clearer. Sometimes when the relationship is quite long already, we were like forget about the need of romanticism. Sometimes, it’s not always man’s fault but also woman. Nobody’s perfect. Combining two different personality isn’t an easy thing. It needs communication and effort from both party. We can’t clap with only one hand. Everyone knows that.
