Always Wash Fruits with Salt Water

I received an email with this pictures and the same title.

WashFruit01

Someone washes it in the water.

WashFruit02

This is supposed to be the left-water. But we don’t know whether it is or someone purposely put in those dirty thing inside first. Well, no harm to be suspicious.

WashFruit03

Let’s see what it is?

A little bit closer.

Close up. Euy!!!

Nah, whether it is true or not (wash with salt water in order to avoid this kind of thing), it is best to be careful and decide what you think is the best to do before the food goes in the mouth.

Ambiguous name ‘Yang’

This is what happen if you have a friend with ambiguous name such as Yayang and you call him Ayang or Yang. (borrowing someone’s name, thank you, you-know-who-you-are =P)

People will think that you are calling your dear one/boyfriend because in Indonesia language, Yayang = dear which is a common way to call the boyfriend or girlfriend.

When the boyfriend or girlfriend check through their partner’s phonebook and find out this name ‘Ayang’ or ‘Yayang’, they might misunderstand it as the partner’s affair.

So, next time if you are finding a name for your baby, please consider it carefully.

A woman’s work but dominated by man

When I hear of the word cooking, my mind tell me that it is a female work. I think most people will say so too. That’s why when we hear that a guy knows how to cook, some of us will think that probably he only can cook canned foods or instant noodle which is very easy. In fact, most of the famous chefs in restaurants or 5 stars hotels are male. While in a family, mostly it’s still the female who cooks although it’s not what appear in my situation. =P

While the word sewing or fashion, what comes in my mind is that it’s female work again. But, most of the famous fashion designers and tailors are male.

I wonder if there is any other work or field that is supposed to be a female nature but it is dominated by male or the opposite way. And how could man interested in it?until?they?dominated?that?field?

Finding of working permit in Malaysia

I’ve been so curious of why is it so difficult to apply working permit in Malaysia. So, once again I googling and found out these.

Work can be found teaching English in Malaysia particularly in cities such as Kuala Lumpur and Penang although positions are limited and the government will only issue work permits to applicants holding at least a MA.

Employment Pass (EP)
This is issued to foreigners who enter the country to take up a contract of employment with a minimum period of two years and earn a monthly income of not less than RM 3,000.

from: Expat Tips Malaysia

I think those are the reasons behind the difficulty of getting a job in Malaysia for a foreigner despite the limitation of the numbers of foreign staffs in a company. The company rather save it for higher level one like Creative Director or University Lecturer than give it to first entry or middle level one. There is so many people graduates every year but not all of them have the qualifications. Why bother spend so much money and long process to hire a foreigner while they can find other local people with the same qualifications? But I was thinking about the foreigners (Indonesian, Chinamen, etc) whom work in LUCT as the student service staffs, etc. How could they get the permit? Hmm..

The trend of working in Singapore

Alright, so it seems that so many people around me is finally getting a job in Singapore or getting an interview or at the stage of planning to find a job there. They are my friends who told the good news themselves, or I knew it from the friendster’s updates, or I heard from my friend or they are my friends’ friend. They are either in creative industry or others. Congratulation for everyone who get a job there and good luck for those who are still looking for one.Now you see, Singapore is so small compare to Malaysia and Indonesia and yet so many Malaysian and Indonesian bombarding that country. Perhaps 5 years later, half of the Singaporean is a Malaysian or Indonesian back then? In simple words, they work, stay, apply PR and become the citizens. So many smart people go to that small country leaving the left-behind-country getting worse and worse. Sigh.. I don’t know whether to follow the trend or to stay.
