I woke up early this morning to rush on my illustration work only to be greeted by an ERROR message from Adobe Illustrator. Half of the file is gone. I mean, some of the illustration in the file is ‘gone’ (including the character design holding promotional bags) while the layout design is still there. One of the layer is ‘gone’ too. But when I had Ctrl + O and click on the file, I can see the complete illustration in the small screenshot. All I have is a broken AI file and I didn’t save in pdf format too.

Can’t understand why. I’ve asked Google for solution, tried but can’t work. There goes my hard work until the wee hour last night. I should just go sleep earlier and do it today. Sigh. Gotta pick myself up from this denial stage to acceptance stage. I better start working on it all over again than wasting more time trying to recover the file.

Before that, let me bang my head to the wall and cry out loud first.

Wuih finally I have the time to test this webcam . October is a crazy busy messy month with long to-do-list just like pa job listings board.

I bought the webcam during the one week trip to KL on August, at LowYat Plaza the IT paradise in Bukit Bintang. So many choices to go for, from branded webcam like Microsoft to made-in-China brand. Live demo was available and staffs were pretty helpful.

Unlike the IT shop in Medan, especially in shopping complex, always hire young women who knows nothing about computer stuffs and only know how to keep an eye on the shop. I’m not asking the shop owner to hire a geeky worker, but someone who has some knowledge about IT and computer will do.

Anyway, the webcam was bought at RM39.90, slightly cheaper than the lousy Genius Eye 110 which I bought last year at IDR.165.000 (around RM60). It has LED lights that can be adjusted and built-in microphone but I haven’t figure out how to make it works.

See above picture, the quality of this webcam is so much better than the lousy Genius Eye 110. LED light was turn on and no photoshop effect is used in the picture.

The webcam also have special effect such as windy, ripple, blablabla and frames. It’s me and my brother in the picture.

There is this one effect called monitor, with 9 frames. Each frame will be updated in few seconds. I have to change pose real fast so that I can have 9 different poses. I also need to be fast enough to click the capture button after the 9th frame and before it goes back to the 1st frame. Pfiuh.

Bottom line, this has to be one of the best buying I ever made this year.

Seriously, P1 is a piece of shit! I wonder how can somebody open an ISP company, if the internet connection are so lousy, not to mention the stupid customer service. No, I’m not talking about slow connection cause boyfriend and I still can cope with it. But we cannot cope with a connection that keeps on disconnect every now and then. It’s like 20% uptime and 80% downtime. To illustrate the situation, it will up for 5 – 15 minutes and down for 1 hour or so.

It’s getting worse this week. I have to keep my eyes on the network icon and once it shows the sign of having a connection, I gotta be hurry and use the time wisely. Cause it could just disconnect 5 minutes later or so, when I’m in the middle of the work. Sigh.

A piece of advice, if you are in Malaysia, just stick with Streamyx or Celcom broadband or Maxis or others but stay away from P1! You’ll save your life by doing so.

Update 8th May:
Connection seems to be back to the pretty stable stage after boyfriend moves it 30cm from the original location. -__-” Hope it will stay like this for a longer time.

Due to some circumstances, Malacca trip is postponed to this weekend. We headed to Digital Mall instead to satisfy our geeky side on last Saturday.

Finally we found this 20″ Acer LCD at RM399. Pretty good deal. There goes the neck-pain and eyes problem that I had with the 14.1″ laptop. Also bought a small size keyboard to replace the old one at RM30+. Save space on the table but haven’t really get use to it.

Next, boyfriend found the love of his life – Nokia E71 at RM1350. The GPS feature is the one that caught his attention along with the sleek shape and others. He’s been talking about it for a while but I thought it was ugly and looked like a calculator. Bleh.

In the end, I surrender to it and it actually doesn’t look that ugly. Quite elegant in fact and seems worthy as GPS alone is sold at RM800 and above. The cheapest that I saw was $89.99 (read: around RM330), refurbished GPS in sale section at Buy.com site. But I can’t find if they have international shipping.

We thought of buying my dream phone, LG ice cream pink color, at the same time. But the whole mobile phone’s shops in Digital Mall ran out of stock already. Left the white and light blue one. Since I insisted to have the pink LG ice cream, we headed off to a shopping complex near our place. Guess what, they also ran out of stock, left only white and light blue. wtf. Seems that pink LG ice cream is very much in demand eh? In the end, we ordered one at RM799 and should get it by tonight. Yeehaa!!

Now off to cook dinner first!

One million might sound.. a lot, but it is not since I’m talking about one million in Indonesia Rupiah. Convert it to USD, IDR 1 million is around $88 only. Now, let’s see what can I buy or do with that amount of money.

160 GB external hard disk (IDR.625000) and 4GB Kingston Flash Disk (IDR.120000)
I’ve been planning to buy external hard disk since last month, not only to do backup but also convenient purpose as I’ll be traveling this month. I can’t be bringing my PC along or transfer a 40GB data to laptop using a 1GB flash disk. So, it’s best to buy an external hard dish. Finally, yeah.

160 GB is more than enough for me. The 3.5″ external hard disk comes with 3 years warranty. Just hope that the store, where I bought this, won’t close within 3 years time. *touch wood*

The 4GB flash disk is for my brother. I remember last 2 years, 1GB flash disk was at IDR100.000-120.000 and now we can get 4GB at that kind of price. -__-”

One of the items in my wishlist this year is to have a long curly or wavy hairstyle. I am not a fans to hair extension so I am going to stick to my plan of growing my short Bob hair. Now, it’s been almost 3 months since the last hair cut. Time for trimming! So, I made an appointment with my all time favorite saloon (Kie-Kie) and hairstylist.

I have a fresh hairstyle and neat eyebrow in less than 90 minutes. The fastest I ever have. Probably because it is weekday and I came early morning 9 am. Whatever. It makes me feel good, that’s it.

Now, time to earn back that 1 million.
