One million might sound.. a lot, but it is not since I’m talking about one million in Indonesia Rupiah. Convert it to USD, IDR 1 million is around $88 only. Now, let’s see what can I buy or do with that amount of money.

I’ve been planning to buy external hard disk since last month, not only to do backup but also convenient purpose as I’ll be traveling this month. I can’t be bringing my PC along or transfer a 40GB data to laptop using a 1GB flash disk. So, it’s best to buy an external hard dish. Finally, yeah.

160 GB is more than enough for me. The 3.5″ external hard disk comes with 3 years warranty. Just hope that the store, where I bought this, won’t close within 3 years time. *touch wood*

The 4GB flash disk is for my brother. I remember last 2 years, 1GB flash disk was at IDR100.000-120.000 and now we can get 4GB at that kind of price. -__-”

One of the items in my wishlist this year is to have a long curly or wavy hairstyle. I am not a fans to hair extension so I am going to stick to my plan of growing my short Bob hair. Now, it’s been almost 3 months since the last hair cut. Time for trimming! So, I made an appointment with my all time favorite saloon (Kie-Kie) and hairstylist.

I have a fresh hairstyle and neat eyebrow in less than 90 minutes. The fastest I ever have. Probably because it is weekday and I came early morning 9 am. Whatever. It makes me feel good, that’s it.

Now, time to earn back that 1 million.

My auntie suddenly asked this question during our visit to my late Grandpa’s graveyard,”Blogging is profitable, is it?”. In other words, she is asking if one can make money via blogging. Oh well, so the buzz of make-money-online-with-your-blog has finally reached her. lol.

The next question that she asked was,”How can one make money from blogging?”. I couldn’t find a short answer hence I only said,”There is alot of way…”. Before I continue by mentioning the making-money-list, my Dad cut me and said,”Eh wait, you know that famous lawyer *insert name*, people consults to him also need to pay money okay? So, let’s go to Benteng (a famous and expensive restaurant in town) and have a dinner while talking over it.”

Next, I became more speechless when the daughter (my cousin) asked about domain, what’s the difference between free and paid hosting, how to make a website, and so on. I didn’t know where should I start explaining. I also didn’t know how to put my understanding into words and explained it to her. Otherwise, I could become a teacher or lecturer already today. But I don’t, cause I s*ck at explaining/teaching.

Now, where are we? Oh, back to make money online with blogging. So, my cousin has started to blog. And, my brother was asked this question,”Why don’t you go for blogging too? You can EASILY earn money from it you know?”.

Gosh, if it is really that easy to make money from blogging, then everyone will go for it. *sarcastic mode on* No one will scare of losing their job because of recession, cause they can easily make money from blogging. All they need is just a computer, internet, domain and hosting (or free hosting).

Sigh.

I just did a stupid mistake this morning. And that is… I accidentally upgrade my Paypal account from personal type to premier type! Arghhh~!!! *continue screaming until no voice* This is a big deal for me, cause I’ve been so comfortable and happily accepting payment with my personal account, I don’t sell toys or clothes on ebay too., there is no reason to upgrade to the stupid premier account.

Flash back, I received $XX payment via credit/debit card. There was 2 buttons; accept and upgrade or something like that. I was too lazy to decline and asked the buyer to send to other account (for some yadayada reason), so I *somewhat* click the button that brought me to this page and congrats me for successfully upgrading my account. Wth?!? That’s when my eye balls almost popped out.

How I wish that Ctrl+Z could work in this case. But never mind, I remember there is a way to downgrade the account by contacting the customer service. It will resolved in 2-3 days time. I gotta be careful next time cause I read that, we are allowed to downgrade it for 1 time only. The next time I accidentally upgrade my account, it will be premier type for… forever.

Lesson learn. Never ever deal with payment or work related stuff when you just woke up.

Update (March 13th):
My account is officially back to personal type! Woohoo! Many thanks to the customer service of Paypal for working so fast.

If you want to downgrade, here’s how:
1. Login to Paypal account, look for “Contact Us” at the footer there.
2. It will open in a new page, click “Contact Customer Service”.
3. Choose “My Account” under “1 – Choose a Topic”
4. Choose “Changing/Updating Account Information” under “2 – Choose a Subtopic”
5. Fill this “downgrade my account from Premier to Personal” under “3 – Summarize your question in one sentence.”
6. Follow the next step, that’s it.

Reason #87 (I just make up the number) of why freelance doesn’t rock at all: When your computer breaks down or so, you have to repair and pay for the fee yourself.

If you are working with ‘The Man’, nothing to worry about. Whether your working PC breaks down or needs computer memory upgrade, just call the repair center or programmer in the office and it will be settled.

Well, my PC still works well although it experienced a little bit problem (turn on itself) earlier this year, but it was resolved by itself. Weird. Recently I am facing a bit of lagging problem. I was designing, for some reason I needed to open both AI and Photoshop, and editing the Thesis theme, so I had HTML kit open (the code looks messy in notepad) along with localhost. And it worked pretty slow. Bleh.

I would want to upgrade, but.. let’s see how it goes first.

One month from now is the anniversary day of my Acer laptop, which I bought in KL. It is going to be 4 years old. I think it is old enough for a laptop. But it is still so strong despite it had been attacked by whatsoever viruses and went through several time of formatting. *big wet eyes* I’m so proud of it.

It has 512MB RAM and 40GB space. Enough for daily usage for a high school student like my brother. But when he wants to do design stuff using Photoshop and Illustrator, the laptop will work like a granny. -__-

We did think of adding computer memory to it. But, come to think that it is hitting 4 years old soon, it seems that.. it would be better for us to buy a new one. Now, let’s just wait until it goes kaput then only we will change a new one.
