The largest forum in Indonesia, Kaskus, has closed the adult content section – bb17 since 29 March. Cause the government wanted to fight against the pornography on the internet.
But then, there is a saying says ‘mati satu tumbuh seribu‘ in Indonesia language (translate directly to English – die one grows one thousand).

Now bb17 has become an independent forum. There is bb17.org and bb17.info. While bb17.net seems to be the parking ads site, bb17.com not accessible.
One of them even submit the site info to digg.
So, fighting porn in Indonesia? Still a long way to go.
After put the text link ads from Kumpulblogger (Pay Per Click service from Indonesia) for a week, I have taken it down from my blog sidebar since few days ago. One week is enough to try it out.
Obviously it doesn’t work on this blog. So far I only earn Rp.300! And that is the only click which actually came from me, myself and I, when I wanted to try it out. -__-” If you convert it to Ringgit Malaysia, it is only 10 cents per click! In USD it is 0.0327 US dollar!
Of why I think it doesn’t work on this blog:
1. This blog is written in English and targeted to English educated people. While the ads is in Indonesia language.
2. Even if the visitors are Indonesian or understand Indonesia language, they are clever enough not to be cheated and click the stupido ads (invest Rp.1,5jtprofit Rp.384jt! Peluang dahsyat sekali dalam seumur hidup.Stok Terbatas!). The advertisers are just a few, with the same service : earn billion of money in a short time, how to earn lotsa money online kind of thing. Duh.
3. Combining point 1 and 2, my blog content doesn’t match the ads content. Or it should be the ads content that doesn’t match this blog content? Ah whatever. The point is, it isn’t like Google ad sense that follow the blog contents. It is too far away from Nuffnang kind also.
Can’t blame them for having such a little advertisers. Kumpulblogger just started on early January this year. But it is almost 4 months already. On the other side, I see that there is always bloggers signing up with them everyday. Obviously, everyone wishes to make money online.
I think Kumpulblogger is more suitable to be a blogger community service. Kumpul blogger itself means blogger gathering.
Through googling (again), I have found a lot of blogger templates / skin / theme, you name it, for blogger[dot]com. Too much but I managed to narrow it down to 5 premium templates. Mostly is a conversion from WordPress premium themes to blogger.
I am having a headache now in choosing 2 out of 5 templates, for personal and news blog, sort of. Which one, which one? (Download these blogger themes at eblogtemplates.com or jackbook.com)
1. Red Stamp Template

2. SummerFruit Template

3. WP-Polaroid Blogger Template

4. WP Premium Red Template

and last, no. 5. iWork Template

I am in an extremely indecisive stage. Shall go to buy a glass of wine at Riedel and relax before decide on the templates. Because after choosing 2, I’ll have another headache in saving the jpeg to my flickr and adjusting the widgets. Duh.
The new ‘baby’ was delivered yesterday afternoon.

The Dual Core Dell CPU looked so elegant in silver and white, with 4 USB at the back. Enough for the mouse, keyboard, speaker and printer. -__-” No worry, it has 4 USB and 4 card readers at the front.

The delivery-man who thought that I am a secondary student, helped me plugged in everything. The result was, the whole cables looked like a chau ta (cos it’s black) Indomie Goreng.

If only it was an iMac, with wireless or bluetooth mouse and keyboard, things will be less messy.

As a well organized person, I couldn’t stand of the cables and tidied up myself. Lots of cables is what I hate from a PC. Laptop is so much neater.

With the speaker on top of the CPU, the 19″ Dell LCD looks like a box bunny.

Clean work place creates a better mood in working.

After finished with the setting up, it was time to turn it on and check out the original Windows Vista Home edition. Not much features in this home edition. Time to say goodbye to vista…

and welcoming Windows XP SP 3 professional edition.

Formatting, installing drivers and other applications were done in a night time. I might be clueless when it comes to repair Hansgrohe faucets, but I am well trained enough in handling computer stuffs. *cough cough* All thanks to the tech savvy boyfriend.
I was transferring my files from the old Acer laptop to the new Dell computer, using a 1GB pen drive. I have about 8 – 9 GB files. -__-” No choice, I have no external hard disk. So the work flow went like this : copy from laptop to pen drive, copy from pendrive to PC, delete the files in the pen drive and the laptop, then goes back to the first step.
Then, I wanted to extract one of the vector packs in my PC. Somehow I think I hit the Shift and Delete button, while still selecting the whole freshly-transfered-files. So in a blink of eyes, Simsalabim, the files were gone with the wind. Left me with the mouth open and jaw drop (still shocked), enough to put a golf bags in . The files is no longer in the pen drive or the laptop.
Thanks G I remember there is this thing call files recovery, which is why Edison Chen scandalous pictures were all over the internet although the computer were broken down.
After a few search of files recovery software through Google, downloaded and installed, I finally found the rescuer, which is UNDELETE PLUS, a free software with total size of 600KB.

It covers quite a lot of files including adobe illustrator and photoshop which other recovery softwares don’t have (and need to pay some more -__-”). Just hit the ‘start scan’ button and it will list out the deleted files immediately. So fast so furious. Choose the files to be recovered and hit ‘start undelete’ button.
Simsalabim abrakadabra!
The deleted files are back! Yay!
