I have forgotten when was the last time I watch movie in cinema and had a caramel popcorn. Since it is June and the boyfriend will come here (which means dating! :P), I have make my list of MUST watch movie for this summer.
KUNG FU PANDA
Just looking at Po’s (the panda) face can make me laugh already. I bought the DVD last two days. I will find a time to watch it and have a good laugh.
SEX AND THE CITY
Ever since I saw the ‘behind the scene’ at E!, all the fabulous clothes and accessories, I’ve told myself to catch this movie. Well, I haven’t watch the TV series yet, but who cares. The pirate DVD for TV series is everywhere, can buy it anytime. I’m still waiting for it to be screening here.
Hulk was in cinema yesterday, the midnight show, which means next week it will be screening on the weekday. I don’t really fancy the yucky green superhero, but I might watch it.
I just watch this movie on Astro HBO during the weekend. The good thing about Astro is, the show will be aired few times in a month. I didn’t watch the ending on Saturday and I caught it up yesterday afternoon.
It’s a comedy romantic movie by Hugh Grant (Alex Fletcher) and Drew Barrymore (Sophie Fisher). Roughly, it’s about Alex, the 80s singer from PoP band whom somehow have to come out with lyrics in a few days time for a famous teen singer. Somehow Sophie came in and they became a team; in writing lyrics & melody and on bed (oh what else).
One of the quote that I like is, when Alex asked Sophie to just spit out the lyrics because it is JUST lyrics. And this what Sophie replied : “A melody is like seeing someone for the first time. The physical attraction. Sex.
But then, as you get to know the person, that’s the lyrics. Their story. Who they are underneath. It’s the combination of the two that makes it magic.”
I definitely agree with that, in terms of listening to the music and how she related it to people. When I was attracted to the song’s melody, I’ll look for the lyric. When I get to know the lyric, I’ll fall deeper for the song. The soundtrack of this movie is simple yet meaningful.
Way Back Into Love
(Drew Barrymore)
I’ve been living with a shadow overhead,
I’ve been sleeping with a cloud above my bed,
I’ve been lonely for so long,
Trapped in the past,
I just can’t seem to move on!
(Hugh Grant)
I’ve been hiding all my hopes and dreams away,
Just in case I ever need them again someday,
I’ve been setting aside time,
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind!
[Chorus]
(Both)
All I want to do is find a way back into love.
I can’t make it through without a way back into love.
Oooooh.
[Verse 2] (Drew Barrymore)
I’ve been watching but the stars refuse to shine,
I’ve been searching but i just don’t see the signs,
I know that it’s out there,
There’s got to be something for my soul somewhere!
(Hugh Grant)
I’ve been looking for someone to shed some light,
Not somebody just to get me through the night,
I could use some direction,
And I’m open to your suggestions.
[Chorus]
(Both)
All I want to do is find a way back into love.
I can’t make it through without a way back into love.
And if I open my heart again,
I guess I’m hoping you’ll be there for me in the end!
Oooooooh, Ooooooh, Ooooooh.
[Middle-eight] (Drew Barrymore)
There are moments when I don’t know if it’s real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation
[Chorus]
(Both)
All I want to do is find a way back into love,
I can’t make it through without a way back into love,
And if I open my heart to you,
I’m hoping you’ll show me what to do,
And if you help me to start again,
You know that I’ll be there for you in the end!
Oooooooh. Oooooooh. Ooooooooh. Oooooooh. Ooooooh Ooooooooh. Ooooooooh.
Early morning I’ve been wandering in Kaskus and read a few threads. I find it’s a good day to be bitchy. :PAll the while, I have always hate bimbos. They are a PIECE of ART if you see from their appearance only. But when they start to talk, they are just a PIECE of CRAP. That’s why there is always some stupidity happen during a beauty pageant.
Remember how the Miss Teen USA 2007 from South Carolina answered the question of why the Americans can’t locate the country on the world map? Nah, we have about the same case coming from Bb Pilipinas, Philippine, of this contestant Janina San Miguel.
Host : Janina, How are you?
Janina : I am fine
Host : So you won two of the major awards ; Best in Long Gown, Best in Swimsuit. Do you feel any pressure right now?
Janina : No I don’t feel any pressure right now
Host : Confident. Alright.
Yes, no doubt, she looked extremely confident, from her body language to her smile. But wait until you hear how she answered the jury’s question. Question :What role did your family play to you as candidate on bb pilipinas? Her answer : well,my family’s role for me is so important because,, there was th,their,,their was the one whose very,, haha, ooh im so sorry,, my pamily my pamily ,, oh my god,i’m,, i’m so sory,i told you that i’m so confident i thought, hmm,, wait,,hahahahmm..sorry guys because this was really my first pageant ever, because i’m only 17 years old,and haha, i did not expect, that i came from, i came from one of the top ten,so but I said.. that (but),, because my family is the most important person in my life.
-_______-” No need to say her grammar, she couldn’t even construct a proper sentence in English. And she blamed it to her age (only 17 years old) and experience (it was her 1st pageant). Wtf? Most importantly, she didn’t seem to get the question.
I can’t believe how could she won the pageant. Ah yes, beautifully curved body that made her being awarded The Best in Swimsuit and The Best in Long Gown. That’s what beauty pageant is, beauty. The juries were blinded by her appearance already therefore they could forget her being brainless and laughing at herself together with the audience.
Well, having someone like Janina San Miguel in Miss World 2008 will make the beauty pageant much more interesting. Let’s see what stupidity will occur later. *Evil laugh*
I was watching ‘200 Pounds of Beauty’, Korean drama, through Crunchyroll when I stumble upon ‘The Sweet Sex and Love’ (2003), a surprisingly erotic movie from Korea. Never had I seen such an erotic movie from Korea with 60% - 70% of sex scenes and meaningless story line. (Put aside the ridiculous ‘Sex is Zero’) It becomes like a porn movie with a plot instead of a drama with a lil porn / sex scene.
Basically it is about a couple who just met and thought they are in love with each other while they actually don’t know each other. They involve sex in almost every aspect of their life and do it wherever possible. When they quarrel, they solve it by making love instead of talking from heart to heart. It is a lust and not love.
What surprised me was that the leading actor is Kim Sung Soo who played in ‘Full House’ (2004) as Yoo Min Hyuk, a director of a large media company who falls for Han Ji Eun. Besides that, I’ve seen him in ‘Lawyers’ (2005) and ‘Say You Love Me’ (2004). I can’t believe that he ever played such a role in such a movie. Whoa. The leading actress is Kim Seo-hyeong. I have no idea about her but one of her filmography is ‘Lovers in Paris’ (2004) as Baek Seung-kyung.
Since this movie has 60% - 70% of sex scenes, you get to see both undressed. Flash boobs, yes. Sexy ass, yes. Genital area, no. After all, you will wish to be in Kim Sung Soo place (for guys).
In Oh Dal Ja’s Spring, Kang Tae Bong, 27 yo, is 6 years younger than Oh Dal Ja,33 yo.
In real life, they are different 6 years too. Chae Rim who play Dal Ja’s character was born on 1979 while Lee Min Ki, who play as Kang Tae Bong, was born on 1985.
Hah! That charming boy is just a year older than me. He looks even more charming than Rain. It’s the lips, yes, the lips that attracts people. And also the eyes.
The series itself is so attractive too. The first two episodes is a bit boring but after that, it attracts you more and more. After one episode, you will feel like watching the next one and so on. Oh my.. It’s the result if you follow drama series.
It’s been a good holiday for me. Anyway, It’s not that hard to go through this 10 days holiday at home. Just a blink of eyes and it’s Monday. Tomorrow I’ll be off to Brastagi, Karo Highland and will be back on Wednesday. Ah.. working day is coming and the day when I step out of the company and never come back again is getting nearer and nearer. I can’t wait for it to come. Weheee….I’ve sticked myself to Astro with E! News - about Hollywood stars’ news, THS (True Hollywood Story), Taiwan drama, Singapore drama, etc. Not to forget this interesting and funny Korean Drama, Dal Ja’s Spring. A friend of mine lend me the DVD with 8 pieces of DVD and 3 episodes in one DVD.
The story revolves around Dal Ja, a single woman in the age of 33 yeras old, an MD of a home shopping channel, and how she finds her true love with 3 men in her life; a flirty colleague - Shin Se Do, a 27 yo fake boyfriend/lover contract/spare tyre - Kang Tae Bong, a perfect gentleman - Um Ki Jeong. Who is her real true love? Hm..
The story is interesting and funny, a great companion in free time, unlike some Korean Dramas that have so many crying scenes or two people loving each others but they can’t be together because of some reason and it takes such a long time and effort to be together. It’s great to see Chae Rim again in a totally different character from the one in All About Eve. But I don’t like the make up with dark circle around the eyes. So not her I think. Well, that’s just a cast in a drama anyway. If you like Full House, you will like this series too.
It’s been almost 2 months since my last step in the cinema. The latest movie that I watched would be ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’. So I flipped through today’s newspaper and checked for the latest movies in the cinemas. Half of it is Western movie which is quite ‘old’ and another half is Indonesian movie. Well, seems that Indonesia movie is in the hot hot era, very productive. Let’s see what they are.
First one, horror movie ‘LAWANG SEWU’. It’s been there since last few weeks.
Second one, another horror movie ‘JELANGKUNG 3′.
Third one, still horror movie ‘KUNTILANAK 2′.
Fourth one, horror movie AGAIN!!! ‘POCONG 3′, will be screening soon.
Wtf? All the Indonesia ghosts has come to the cinema. -__-” What’s next? Better go buy Rp. 6.000,- DVD at the road side. I can get the newest movies there.
