Focus Group on public holiday

So it’s thursday.

So it’s public holiday.

But I can’t have a nice walk (paktor-ing time) at IOI Mall or spend quality time together at home. I have to rush eating my late lunch and attending focus group at the hot deserted Cyberajaya. Cyberia to be specific.

It’s a long day resulting a long rant.

Started from the Metro Bus No.21. It took freaking 45 minutes from Bandar Bukit Puchong to IOI Mall~! The driver who smoked non-stop drove so slow and relax. Speed and slow down whenever he wanted. Bus schedule / routine is so damn kanasai here.

After bus, here came the food thing. IOI was so packed with people. It was lunch hour and most of the restaurants inside were full if not almost, including Shakey’s Pizza where we landed our feet there. The thought of enjoying the lovely pizza and pasta there has gone. The waitresses were so slow and confused themselves due to the massive patrons.

Foods kept coming out and no one delivered them to the tables. The workers run here and there like a headless chickens that loss direction. It took freaking 30 minutes for a Coke~! Wtf? For sure I can say that they are not well trained to face so many patrons at the same time. Some more most of the time when I went there (during the college time), that place was seldom full. I think they shall play Diner Dash 4 to know how to manage the task. :P

Due to the way they work, the foods came late and we gotta be hurry. I hate eat in a rush mode. What to do, someone in the boyfriend’s group get mad already for a simple thing and somehow he has to be at Cyberia earlier. Oh talking about that fella, I gotta bang my head to the wall already. There is always such a people in Limkokwing. Thank God I am not continuing my study.

I am not gonna touch on the issue of how the fella treated the boyfriend. What a kiasu and kiasi one. What I am questioning now is, What the fucking result does he want from the so called focus group by asking the 6 of us so many irrelevant questions? It’s about GO TRAVEL and what the fuck it has to do with the dominant color scheme of one’s country? So Chinese is related to red and gold color but that doesn’t make the whole building in China become red, or every houses in Indonesia are in Green colour because Malay/Indonesian is related to green. Oh please…

There were a few questions that when he thrown to us, made me frown. Why? Because the answer is a logical one. Because it is so stupid he actually no need to ask, the answer is there already. After the whole 3 hours session, I don’t see where he was going to. No point. No focus. He was just digging the surface, got distracted and digging the other side and so on. In the end of the day, he has so many shallow holes on the ground. Still can’t find the main treasure box yet.

If that is how he conducts focus group in advertising, I think the client can start looking for another agency already. A focus group on a CAT6 product might run away to a cat. Out of topic. :P

How to say Hi / Hello in French

Every time I log in to my Flickr account, I will see the greeting in different languages near the avatar. It’s a different one every time I refresh the page. A good way to learn ‘hello’ or ‘hi’ in other languages though.

Just now I was greeted,”Salut Wiehanne!”. I stunted for a while because ‘salut’ sounds so Indonesia which is ‘salute’ in English. Until I saw the next line: Now you know how to greet people in French. -__-”

Salut_french

As far as I know, French is so weird and unique like mortgage lenders is courtier en pr?ts hypoth?caires. Can’t believe that a ‘Hi’ is as simple as ‘Salut’.

Airasia flies to triple H

Oh yes babe.. Airasia has 3 new destinations already, from KL to triple H : Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), Hongkong, and Hainan (China). The started price to Ho Chi Minh and Hongkong is from RM49.99 one way. While Hainan one starts from RM29.99 one way. The booking period is from 12 March – 19 March 2008. The travel period itself varied for those 3 destinations, within April to October.

AirasiaPromo

It sounds very cheap that I try to check the July one, KL – Hongkong. The cheapest that I can find is RM99.99 one way. Add in the admin fee, fuel surcharge and aiport tax, total 2 ways (return tickets) is only RM490. Plus the insurance it will be only RM500 like that. Whew~! Extremely cheap, wei. It is about the same price with the return ticket from KL – Sibu (Sarawak) when there is no promotion (ticket price @ RM150-200++ one way).

I wana go wana go wana go wana go. Go there with almost empty Rimowa luggage and go back fully packed with an extra luggage. :P But.. I am not settling down yet. Things are still scattering around. If only money isn’t an issue…. :(

Having instant noodle as lunch

Having instant noodle as my lunch has been a common thing since I stepped into the college life. One may asks,”Why instant noodle? So unhealthy. Cannot go out and tapao kah?”.

Well, there were time when I feel extremely lazy to go out and walk under the hot weather OR it is raining cats and dogs OR I wanna save money OR I am too busy I wanna have some quick meal, etc. Note that it is not because I don’t have a good appetite. I love to eat. At hometown, I eat 4 to 5 times a day, in a medium portion. I dislike eating a huge portion in one go. I think that’s the reason I can maintain my fat. :P

Anyway, I went to sundry shop nearby and found out that Mi Goreng from Indofood already cost RM4.30 (5packs) while Mie Sedap from Wings at RM3.20. Wtf? How could it differs so much? The Indofood Mi Goreng is less tastier than the original one from Indonesia, and still the price can be so high. Siao.

I miss buying instant noodle in Indonesia where I can mix and match this brand with that brand. Here it is sold in a bundle of 5 packs, same flavor. Sien. CAT5e cables also can mix and match one.

After the interview

It is a frustrating period. Waiting for the good news that ‘You are accepted’ or ‘Welcome on the board’.

The frustrating symptoms:
- Keep checking the mobile phone every minute every hour. Make sure that I don’t miss any call.
- Keep checking email. Feel deg deg deg when there 1 new message on the tab there.
- Asking myself the why how what and if questions.

As if it isn’t frustrating enough, friends keep on asking me wether I get the job or not. Add salt on the wound. -__-” I hate sign in to msn and friendster nowadays. Same old people asking same old question. No new topic then don’t bother chat, please. I won’t blame you for being so ignorant. For now, the best way to show your support is when you say nothing at all. The lyric of Ronan Keating’s song says it all.

There’s a truth
In your eyes
Saying you’ll never leave me
The touch of your hand says
You’ll catch me
Whenever I fall
You say it best
When you say
Nothing at all

While doing follow-up after the interview, I wish I can shop with Lillian Vernon coupons to release the stress. Meanwhile, think positive!
