Looking forward to tonight flight

Eleven hours until my flight to KL and I haven’t pack my stuffs yet. :P Hate packing so much cause have to select what to bring and what not to bring while worrying it will exceed weight or not.

So looking forward to this trip cause that means I don’t need to see the KNS maid for a month and the irritating meow-ing sounds from the cats. These two (maid and cats) are just eating up the living space. I so wanna kick them out of the house. Sorry, evil mode on.

And that maid just received a phone call from her youngest daughter whom is in primary school. There she goes haihz-hm-ing and emo-ing again while thinking about going back Indonesia. No pity to her consider her super duper annoying and irresponsible attitude. Ugh.

Push that hatred away and replace it with happy mode. Til then. :)

Yo Wassup

I’m having an early to bed and early to rise situation today. It feels oh so good to greet the sun by 7am. Besides that, waking up at such early hour means tunning on Hitz.fm for the Morning Crew session. Their Gotcha! prank is my fave one while taking college bus in the morning. Thanks to internet I get to listen to the channel despite the location. Hehe.

Moving on to my latest news. Finally we decided to book the flight ticket after asking about the procedure of applying long term social visit pass (6 months – 1 year) at the M’sia immigration in town. According to the officer, it will take at least 3 months until I can get that pass and we can only start applying when we have the marriage certificate from both countries (Indonesia and Malaysia). He was kind enough to gave us the list of necessary docs. Hah, another waiting to go. More patient is needed.

feb-march-flight

Anyway, we will be in KL on 26th Feb (night flight), spends few days there to meet local clients and friends before we fly to Medan on 3rd March. It’s going to be a long visit as we’ll be in Medan until 28th March. More than 3 weeks, should be enough to settle the marriage registration there and the 3 months social pass, also to meet up with friends and indulge myself with Mum’s cooking & Medan’s foods. Slurrpiee… And buy some stuffs to bring over here, i.e. Anilox cleaning and refill ink kits – the kit costs IDR100.000 only and here it costs RM100, thrice the price, can’t understand why.

With that said, I’ll be back to Medan after Chinese New Year is over. Slightly run away from our earlier plan.

Low Fare Ticket Huh?

I have been looking for flight ticket to Medan my hometown since we already know that our ROM date will be on February 19th (how I wish I can have Jan cs as our witnesses. haihz) and that we can get the marriage certificate on the day itself.

The upcoming flight is an action of kill two birds with one stone, which means I can go back to celebrate Chinese New Year, to file our marriage form in Medan, then apply for 3 months social visa. Most importantly, my tourist visa will expired on 24 or 25 Feb (I forget the exact day :P ) so I definitely need to get my a** out of here in between Feb 20 to Feb 24 or 25, before the immigration kicks me out from this country.

Since the timing is around Chinese New Year, the flight ticket is super duper expensive. I almost fainted down when I saw the fee. Wtf one way can go up to RM770! We have two heads that need to take the flight. You do the math. Luckily I still have time until 24/25 Feb, although the fee is still slightly expensive around RM400 one way. Sigh.

Screenshot of the fare for Sibu to KL, one way flight ticket, as of January 21st 2010. Freaking expensive can die.

I probably need to find other channel of income to support this kind of emergency travel plan. Selling unlocked phone sounds good and promising too. :P

Now off to pump oil (read: work harder).

Five things on December

1. An impromptu road trip to Kuching
We went to Kuching by 6 hours bus on last week, from Wednesday night to Friday night. Not to have fun but to settle some tiny step of the marriage registration. We didn’t get the document that we needed though. We ended up having an unexpected city tour to kill our time and came across an interesting insurance billboard with tagline “I got mine here“.

The only thing that I like from Kuching is The Spring – the hottest mall in the city and probably the only mall in this state (read: Sarawak) which has the basic brands from KL in which Sibu (where my home is now) doesn’t have. You know: Padini concept store with Vincci blablabla, Body Glove, MPH bookstore, Manhattan Fish Market and all.

2. 50% settling down
We had our church wedding done last month, so we are married according to our religion and in God’s eyes. We had done the Chinese ceremony and held the wedding banquet, so we are married according to Chinese tradition and people’s eyes. We had a place that we can call as our home, we had purchased new working table and chairs, and we also had bought a new LCD and laptop for me. We are all ready to start our own family and own business.

But, we haven’t go through ROM (Registration Of Marriage), so we are not legally married according to law and in government’s eyes – let alone rushing in making a baby. The stress is worse than thinking about LDR. The good news is, we are walking on the right path and although it takes longer time, we are sure that we can get the certificate in time.

3. Three keyboards in a month time
We bought the first keyboard at PC Fair for RM25 only per set (keyboard and mouse) right after we bought the laptop and LCD. We used it for a week or so only and both set of keyboards went KABOOM as in the keyboard kept on disconnected – how to work like this? We assumed that the batch was faulty one hence they sold it at such a low price.

It has getting on my boy’s nerve since he had loads of work to settle that day, hence he threw it on the floor. Rest assure, he isn’t the type of man who will hit his loved one. I am safe for sure, but not with the computer stuffs. :P

Then we bought second keyboard at Delta Mall at RM25 each. On the second day, mine went crazy. The shift button didn’t want to work! KNS! I have to copy paste the symbol (@?” etc) from the internet cause I couldn’t type one. We purchased the third keyboard last night at Sanyan and requested the seller to try it. It works fine for now.

4. My first Tang Yuen festival with my new family
There was no colorful tang-yuen (made from glutinous rice flour) in soup but one color tang-yuen with peanuts, somewhat like mochi. Here also has tradition of having family dinner with loads of foods.

5. Two new ‘family member’ in the house
His sister brought home 2 new puppies, Lucky the male and Mimi the female. That means now there is 8 dogs and 3 puppies. Whew.. I have no idea how I (who don’t like cats, dogs, and whatever pets) can live in this home. But amazingly I can adapt with them. Mum, no worry, I don’t get so close with these dogs.

Away for three weeks

*This is a scheduled post*

By the time this post is up, I will be at the airport waiting for my flight to KL. :D I know, I just went there on last August. But the main attraction for this trip is not KL but boyfriend’s hometown, where our BIG day will be held. So, I’ll spend 1 week in KL and 2 weeks in boyfriend’s hometown. Good thing, both place also has internet connection and wireless Linksys router, I can continue working like usual although I won’t be around my desk. Talk about the flexibility of being a freelancer.

airasia medan

Ever since the wedding plan is ON, we have never stepped into his hometown – blame it on the expensive flight ticket and our working schedule. That means we haven’t settle anything related to the BIG day, except for the restaurant. I haven’t found which bridal to go for make-up and hairstyling, the car decoration, the tea-ceremony preparation, bedroom furniture, etc. I already ditched the “pai ke ceng” thing but still, there seems to be lots to settle.

Besides the big day preparation, we need to settle the paper work (read: marriage certificate and my visa) which is the highlight of this trip. This certificate and visa thing has put me under sleepless nights and full-of-worrying-days. Hopefully thing will go smooth and we don’t need to go back forth boyfriend’s hometown – KL – Medan. *stress mode on*

Another hidden agenda is to attend the BIG day of boyfriend’s friend on tomorrow. So excited, partly because it’s my first time attending someone’s wedding in KL (point: get to see the culture and tradition) and also because.. I’ve known them since few years ago that there is a special feeling to see them going from dating stage to marriage stage. :D

P.S. Our wedding site is up since ages ago. I finally have the time to update it with contents including the behind-the-scene pictures (of pre-wed photoshoot).

One afternoon at The Hill Resort

So, yesterday was Sunday and also the first day of Hari Raya Idul Fitri. The town was super quiet. Almost everyone was out of town since most of the shops and companies are closed until Wednesday. Internet connection was so smooth that the page for term life insurance rates loaded faster than usual.

Initially we planned to stay for a night at Brastagi highland but the hotel’s room was oh-so-expensive, starts from IDR 1 million which is double the usual price. *sweat* Stay and chill at home seems to be the best choice.

But, my Bro was super boring at home, so off we went to The Hill Resort – also the place where I had my outdoor prewedding photos – after lunch just for a short getaway. Traffic was so smooth that we arrived the resort within 70 minutes drive or so. It was gloomy and felt somewhat cold.

me-the-hill

I was busy taking pictures of the swans when someone shouted my name. I turn my body and saw a very familiar figure. I couldn’t help but to shout back,”Ah-ma!!” which is her nickname since highschool. Both of us was like,”Can’t believe will meet you here!” and walked into the white gazebo to catch up with each other, from I-heard-that-you-are-getting-married to her-stressful-yet-happy-life-as-a-wife-and-young-mum to gain-weight topic. Not long after that, it started to rain.

chelsy-me-poladroid

Ever since she married and moved to Jakarta, we hardly see each other. Furthermore she doesn’t have facebook account but good thing is, she comes back few times in a year. The last time we met was on February this year.

friend-daughter
Look at her cheeks and her Dora’s hair. So cute and pretty!!!

It was also my first time seeing her more-than-one-year-old-daughter. I have a mixture feeling, my first time being referred to as ie-ie/auntie by my friend’s daughter. I am old. Arghh!!

Anyway, it looks like law of attraction does work. It was on saturday when I went out with my friends, talked about Sibolga and I mentioned about ‘Ah-ma’ blablabla. Jan also mentioned about doesn’t want to be referred as ie-ie but jie-jie. Then the next day I met her! Coincident or what? :P

Glaring at Airasia Big Sale

Not long ago boyfriend mentioned about honeymoon and I was so sure to say,”No, we don’t need it. I am fine for not having any honeymoon after the big day (whether immediately or few months after that). We can travel whenever we have the extra cash.”

airasia-big-sale

But now I think I am going to take back my words since Airasia is having a BIG sale from 12 – 16 Aug, travel period from January to July next year. The flight ticket, local and international, is super duper cheap that I will feel sorry to myself if I don’t book one. In Hokkien: Tui be khi ka ki. :P

Flight ticket from KL – Shanghai starts from RM99 (one way) and KL – Melbourne is as low as RM149 (one way). But then, I can’t put aside the living cost – food, transportation, accommodation, shopping spree, etc. If convert RM into AUD, quite jialat lo. Some more, need to apply for visa for several travel destinations. So I think, the most affordable trip and hassle free would be going to Bali, the paradise island in Indonesia.
