Feature Portfolio
Feel free to browse through my portfolio, which contains selection of works that I did under simplyWP (for web design) and during the early freelancing period (for print graphic design). Girly chic is my design style, though I'm flexible most of the time.

I should feel blessed for having a home office, or I should refer to it as workstation, although it is very simple and no where near beautiful or inspiring.
When we first bought the table, it seems to be enough for 2 person. But not anymore, our paperless home office suddenly have more paper, notes, books, short term health insurance NC quotes, etc. So, basically we need more space. Probably larger table with better design and color.

Here are two that I like:
- Top image, from here, I like the http text on wall and the light color of the wooden desk. Overall it looks very soft and clean, thanks to the white color of Mac also. No, I’m not gonna switch to Mac. But mostly PC stuffs is so fugly, ugh.
- Bottom image, from here, the table is so long, me like! Can put 3-in-1 printer. Also love how the table is nailed to the wall = legless table.
Hopefully I can fulfill my dream home office on next year
Law of attraction says: Ask and you shall receive. And oh be specific. It could be asking for women’s rain boots to anticipate raining season or maybe a DSLR so you can have better pictures for your honeymoon trip (yes, this is one of the many reasons why we changed from compact digicam to DSLR)
Actually it was an impromptu decision to sell my compact digicam Canon IXUS 870 IS to my in-law and get our very first DSLR. All happen in one night, except it took us 2 days to get the DSLR cause need to pay in cash and bloody ATM’s daily limit is super low.
This is one point that I hate from purchasing stuff/service from this town, cause you can hardly find shops with debit/credit card swap machine. IMHO it’s so ineffective and not convenient, have to go ATM to cash out and bring tonnes of money instead of a debit card.*grumpy face*
Back to the DSLR story, my boy and I did online research and asked friends for an affordable-yet-have-good-quality-and-suitable-for-entry-level kind of DSLR. We managed to list down a few among Canon, Olympus and Nikon before going to several camera shops in town; 2 shops to be exact; and experience the real products.
The first shop is in Wisma Sanyan ground floor, where the staffs looked at us blankly most of the time and can’t even described the specifications of the products that we fancy. So we headed to a camera and photo printing shop nearby our neighborhood. As expected, the shop owner who has knowledge in photography described our short-listed products very well.

His input helps us a lot in making decision before we finally nailed it down to Nikon D3000, RM2050. Besides camera bag and 4GB SD-card, he also gave us a tripod. We went in the shop excitingly and came out with a wide smile. Good customer service, know his field well, good price and gift, can’t ask for more to be a happy customer.
If you are wondering what happen to my loyalty towards Canon brand, the entry level DSLR 450D and 500D was quite expensive and not so worthy compare to Nikon D3000. That’s why. But I am still Canon hardcore fans when it comes to compact digicam. I am saving to have one in the near future. Can’t live without bringing one in my bag.

After getting the new toy, we went to KuTien Memorial Park in the afternoon for trial and error session. I am still not getting used to manual setting and big heavy camera hence I was modelling for my boy most of the time.
Oh well, photography is the subject that I hate the most back in college.

He loves playing with the manual setting, while for me it is mostly auto (for now) and must learn how to take self-picture with this heavy toy.

Look, I can jump! With a smile and a peace pose some more.

His turn to kick a*s-ing
Can’t wait for our honeymoon trip next week! It’s gonna be 10 days without computer and (maybe) internet line.

Continuous shoot of me jumping. Created in flash, pardon the pixel.
P.S. Will be launching the new layout design tomorrow.
When there is free time or I’m getting bore with the internet and want to take a break from cell mass reading, the last thing I can think of is to do online shopping. Not necessary buying but just to satisfy this eyes in seeing pretty items. And putting them in my wish-list for next month shopping.

Recently I have 2 items that I want very very much but can’t have them! First item is a red bando from a Singapore shop-blog. Now dying to look for it in Malaysia shop-blog. Wish me luck! Next item is this sea green sunday dress from Shopaholics Unite, RM49 only. Imagine wearing it for a relaxing girl’s day out on Sunday or casual dating with dearest one. So lovely! But… it’s sold out already. Arghh!!
No luck. Aihzz…
I am surfing online for whatever info that I can read and whatever picture that I can see, while organizing my computer files and updating the back-up in my HDD to prepare for our upcoming trip to KL and Medan. I am blog hopping from truck accessories page to bedroom stuffs and then I come across this oh-so-sweet-cute-girlie-pink-quilted-bedding in polkadot from potterybarnkids! Peek it here.

I want I want I want! Mom, buy for me can? I’m so wanna go back to be a kid (girl) again.
As I mentioned on my previous post, I lost my lovely pink LG Ice Cream phone a day after my wedding banquet in Medan. Yes, what a great timing!
I remember I was busy going here and there on the morning, from going to Airasia office to change Anilox cleaner to returning the gown to NewYorkArt bridal and fetching parent-in-law for breakfast before heading to Brastagi highland for a day trip.
I had my pink LG ice cream inside my bag all the time. Then out of a sudden I couldn’t find it already. Not in the bag, not in the car, and not at home. To make thing worse, I couldn’t recall when was the last time I saw my phone.
I started to panic when I couldn’t find it at home. I tried to call my own number but it was no longer active. That’s when I knew that it was hopeless and I wouldn’t see my pink LG ice cream anymore.
The supposed-to-be-a-joyful-day turn into a gloomy day. I had a hard time to really arrive at the acceptance stage that the phone is no longer mine. I managed to survive from being phone-less for a few days until I flew to Malaysia last Friday and lived with my back-up phone.

Picture taken with Nokia E71. On the background is my boy’s white Macbook (2006) which is also my temporary working buddy for now.
I was in a big dilemma, deciding which phone to go for. I mean, I didn’t get that love-at-the-first-sight with other phone like what I had with my pink LG ice cream. I even thought of getting LG ice cream again, but my boy said let gone be by gone. To my surprise, the price has dropped from RM800 (8 months ago) to RM550! *faint down*
After several online research and offline phone hunting, I decided to get Nokia 5530 XpressMusic – a touch screen phone. The price is slightly cheaper than LG ice cream, RM760 only (AP set), and it has a lot more functions than LG ice cream – wifi, gps, you name it. It is sleek and the size is OK for me. I would choose the white color one if not because of the ugly blue line that separates the front and the back of the phone.
Gotta find a way to zhng my Nokia so that it will be more me.
