I was doing blog hopping like usual when I came across a cutie bread giveaway. Immediately I remember that I saw that cute bread at a shop in.. either MidValley or 1U (I’ve forgotten) when I went to KL few months ago.

Breadou: Computer Wrist Rest ( mouse wrist rest / keyboard wrist rest ) that looks like and smells like a real bread made from NASA memory foam
I wanted to buy it at that time (especially the upper picture one), but the price held me from taking one home. Aikz.. Now when money isn’t a problem, I would want to have one but can’t find it in Medan.
How? Somebody buy for me, can? Valentine is coming soon. *hint hint* No flowers, this cute bread also can. Puhleasee..
I have a new year resolution for 2008. My first time ever and I had forgotten about it soon. I think it is better to list down what I wish to have and achieve in 2009. Here they are in random order:
1. Nokia 5800 or 6600 fold – Accomplished! Bought an LG ice cream instead of Nokia.
I can’t decide which one to go for yet. Huge, touch-screen, wlan, in the all time favorite color – black kind of phone or modern, medium size, nice pink, flip phone?

2. Teeth brace
I have to do it this year or never, cause it is going to take at least 2 years! I want to have a great smile with great teeth on my wedding photograph few years later, can? Else, the bridal’s staff might need to do lots of photoshop touching.

3. Long curly wavy hairstyle – Half way there. It’s July now and I’m with short curly hair, on my way to grow it longer.
Two years of short bob hair, I have it enough already. I thought of going for hair extension cause it will save my time from growing my hair. But, thinking that it is other’s hair (unkown), I quickly throw the idea away. The best way is to grow this hair, maintain it in whatever way so no more great-hair-loss problem.
4. Bali trip – Sort of Accomplished! But, instead of Bali (in Indonesia), we went to Perhentian Island in Malaysia for 3D2N. Well, it’s still a beach trip after all.
Boyfriend suggested it first and I am oh-so-excited although I am still worry about the not-enough-money part.
I am not the type of earn-and-use-all. But heck, we will have enough to spend a few days of quality time in the paradise island. For the past 2 years, both of us haven’t travel to other places, except my hometown, his hometown, and KL. Boring eh?

5. Pay back some of my college fee
My family had a financial problem during my last year in college. My auntie help me to pay half of the tuition fee. Thanks G or I wouldn’t even graduate from Diploma course. It was a voluntary help from her but if I am able to pay her back, why not? I can’t wait to throw away this “OWE” word from my shoulder.
6. Double up my income
When I started freelancing, I used my previous salary (while working 8hr-5 1/2days) as the bench mark of what I should earn the least. I also counted roughly the electric bill, internet bill, etc that I use while working at home and setup a roughly net profit that I should reach. The income slowly increased and it’s time to aim higher.
7. Stay with boyfriend and have a normal relationship
Last year, one of my resolution is to end this Long Distance Relationship (break-up is not in our dictionary). We tried whatever way but it didn’t work. I suppose we were too focus on the words LDR. Taking some lesson from the Secret, I am going to focus on the positive word.

I hope my wishlist will be fulfilled. I am going to work my a*s off now so that I can fulfill some of the stuffs in my wish list, which money can buy.
Yeap, I got a new digicam! Let’s flash back.
I wrote a post about Wishlist #1: Canon Digicam back in July. I was very clear that I want a new version of Canon IXUS to replace my dearest Canon IXUS 40, although I wasn’t sure which series to go for.
So when I knew about the latest Comtech expo at Sun Plaza (13 – 17 November 2008), I told myself perhaps it was time to pamper myself by getting a new digicam and to fulfill my wishlist. And, I went there on last Saturday night.

The seller introduced IXUS 80 IS (8MP, Digic 3). I almost bought it cause it was in PINK and the shape is about the same with my Ixus 40. It looked so chic and trendy. It was sold at IDR.2.295.000 with 2GB memory card.

Then he introduced the latest product from Canon, IXUS 870 IS. Oh my.. It was so beautiful and elegant with specs: 10MP, Digic 4, wide-angle (28mm) 4x optical zoom lens and many more. It was sold at IDR. 3.795.000 with 2GB memory card.
I was in dilemma. Both were beautiful but carry different image. I was fine with 8MP. But Ixus 870 IS has the latest technology. The other concern was, the price gap which was pretty huge.
After concerning this and that for about 10 minutes, I settled for Canon IXUS 870 IS. Simple reason, it is the latest product from Canon (along with IXUS 980 IS) which carries the latest technology. I assume it can last long and I can use it for another 3 to 4 years before replace it with a new one. Besides that, sometimes price does determine the quality (especially when it comes to electronic devices and gadgets).

It has 2 colors of choices, silver and gold. I chose the typical color which is silver. But they ran out of stock and left gold color only. It looked good in gold color too. So, I took it. I am oh-so-happy now. You know, the kind of happiness when you managed to get the stuff that you always want to have and you get it with your own hard earn money some more.
How about my dearest Ixus 40? Like usual, I am passing it to my brother.
Now, I need to buy a new pouch for the new digicam.
I was helping my bro doing his computer class’s assignment when my Mum told me this,”Eh, you know ah, Malaysian ringgit has touched IDR.3000++.”
What? I thought RM1 = IDR.2700 like that only? *sweat* I thought I still can buy the flight ticket to KL (Malaysia) to attend the boyfriend’s convocation on this December. But seeing the exchange rate, I think I better stay at home and wait him to come here instead. -__-”
Now, 1USD = IDR.10.XXX like that. Mr. USD, Please goes up a bit so I can have a bigger payout this month. I have been wanting to buy new digital cameras to replaced the old Canon Ixus 40. It would be a Christmas present from me and to me.
I am one of those who believe in Law of attraction from the Secret video and book. What I remember clearly is to ask, don’t think of how, and the universe will answer your question / give it to you.
Here is what I want for now:
1. Win the WordPress theme contest series 3 from Lunarpages. (People, vote for me – Floral day by SimplyWP – please.. Voting will end on Sunday, 19th Oct 2008 – EST time if I not mistaken)

2. Canon Ixus 950is
3. Teeth brace
*to be updated*
On the other side, I have a good experience, thanks to the wordpress theme contest. I learn that, if I want to ask for help, my friends are there and willing to help me. Even the college mates that I haven’t met for almost 2 years, they were there to lend hands too. Do I still need to mention about my highschool friends?
I asked their help, they forwarded it and asked their brothers, sisters, cousins, friends and friends and so on. The result is amazing. I suppose that is what we call people power? Lastly, thanks MSN messenger~!
I’m blessed~! Just when I doubt about friends and friendship, God shows that to me.
Edit:
Looks like somebody got desperate cause the voting will end today and his theme is not leading now (mine neither), hence the questioning comments that he made. Oh well, why panic and sweat and desperate? We still have time and community voting is not the final decision.
Themes will be judged by Lunarpages staff members and anyone who votes via the Lunarpages Blog, Newsletter, and Forums. All submissions will be judged by the following criteria:
Community Votes: 25%
Staff Votes: 25%
Creativity, Originality, & Uniqueness: 25%
Overall Theme & Usability: 25%
Voting for Lunarpages WP theme contest has ended
The community voting for WordPress Series 3 Design Contest by Lunarpages was officially closed. There will be staff voting and winners will be announced on October 22nd, 2008. I was about to write a long rant regarding the voting but heck, I prefer to let it go.
You see, I joined the contest in peace but I am just amused to see what people can do when they were not in a good situation. When I (my theme: Floral Day) received 70+ and 40+ votes within an hour (both on different days), he (the other participant) left this comment as if it is so impossible to get that amount of votes within a short time. As if he never heard about messenger like MSN and networking?
heh, simplywp?s vote count jumped with 41 while i took my dog to a walk. don?t even know why we?re even trying, because we already know who will have the most votes
I didn’t go back to Lunarpages blog and commented or trying to make things clear, cause I didn’t see the need to do that. God knows what is happening.
Funny thing, when he received sudden large-amount-of-votes (more than 50 in a short time, I forgot the exact number) few hours before voting closed, he tried so hard to explain in his blog about how he got that votes, although nobody questioned him. I mean, the whole post doesn’t sound like he is sharing but it is more to create an alibi. Even a 5th grader can tell that. Well, it might be me whom is over sensitive (blame it to PMS
).
He wrote in details how he got the large-amount-of-votes from a girl’s connection in YM. It seems to be a contradiction with his comment before, where it sounded like he has used all of his ‘army’:
heck, i blogged about the contest/asked fellow bloggers to blog about the contest and ask their readers to vote for me, i made a medium scaled thread over at digitalpoint forums asking those who are using my themes/plugins to vote for me, and got almost all of my friends and my friend?s friends to vote for my theme and i get like 1-5votes/hour
When the community voting was ended, somebody (who isn’t the contest participant) left this comment:
Since you mentioned it, it?s funny to see all those 3 jumping their number day by day. They all previous winning doesn?t even achieve 100 votes and now, all of the sudden it?s more than 300? Well, voting takes only 25% of the chance, guess there are more to go then vote from us
Two of them responded to the above comment and explained. I said nothing. Again, I don’t see there is a need to do so. Let the commentator questioned whatever he wanna questioned. After all, Lunarpages staff already said that they will double check the votes.
Oopps.. I said I’m not gonna rant and I just did it. Fine, leave it to Lunarpages staffs to do the job and checked on the voting accuracy.
