Ok, the title basically sums up this post.

What book do we buy? It’s “Freelance Confidential: The whole truth on successful freelancing” from Rockable Press, the paperback version. They have pdf, cheaper price, but we aren’t going to read it on laptop, such a hassle. Unless an iPad2 and ipad2 accessories falls from sky for us.
Though we aren’t freelancer anymore (running business, got registered one okay
), but think that the book might come in handy.
I went to Amazon and use the $50 gift-card, that I won from online contest years ago, oh those were the time

Two weeks later the postman delivers it. I just skimmed through the book and my eyes immediately fall in love with the font used and text spacing. Oh so lovely, not too big, not too small, not too narrow, just the right size.
Now, back to reading habit.
The definition of pressure is different for everyone. It could be when people surrounding you keep on asking “when you gonna get married?”, or maybe you start freelance for a few months yet not much income and parent keep nagging you to just go back to 9-6 job, or you’re alone at the highway have to figure out how to use curt trailer hitch, or other worse scenario, I don’t know la.
As for me, I’ve just found a new definition to pressure. It’s when my our ex-Boss and mentor (or rather company as a whole) become my our client. Heh, life.
Yeah, my our, cause there was time when hubby and I had internship at same agency, different department.
Let’s keep this pressure in the positive side
This has to be the busiest December we ever experienced. While other might be busy with Christmas shopping or planning for year end holiday – talk about miami car rental, we are quite loaded with projects from clients which is a very good thing. I don’t know why it just seems like the buy and sell power is heating up, though economy is still so-so only.
While everyone else wants to have new design for New Year, I want it for our sites as well.
First priority would be our wedding site; the draft design has been sitting in my folder for months, need to find the mood and probably new concept. Next would be simplyWP, it needs not only face-lift but also cleaning up the contents and themes.
Planning to get those done before Chinese New Year (February). Ok, it must be done, not just planning and delaying again.
Here’s an announcement to the world that I’m back to KL already.
The Jakarta trip was an awesome one. I had a good time catching up with family and pampering my tongue with yummylicious food – seafood, oh my! It’s all about eat eat eat. My bro lost control in eating as well, there goes his lose weight plan. Not much fun on the wedding due to bad management and schedule.

Left: Us at Monas, one of the landmarks in Jakarta. Still the same old boring park with a tall monument and gold on top of it. Right: Taken from the plane.
Now that the fun time is over, it’s working hard time. So many work is waiting for us and most of the deadline is for Christmas or New Year. It’s quite a tricky time management and work speed with only the two of us & 24 hours a day. But we’ll surely be able to make it! *self support* Have faith.
The good thing of being self-employed, I can take as many leave as I want in one year. Be jealous now.
But… the down side, it’s all unpaid leave cause practically all projects is paused until hubby and I are back – we never bring laptop unless it’s a going back my/his hometown’s trip. After all, the whole point of vacation trip is to be away from work.
Speaking of which, our flight to Jakarta is on (Yay!). Packing is done. Fill up the medical carts and insurance as well.
I definitely can’t wait to taste my home-country’s food, never mind that people says Jakarta’s food isn’t as delicious as Medan’s food, so long that I can have nasi padang. Next to food is wedding, family reunion, and meet-up. But I’m afraid when thinking about traffic jam there.
Btw, Happy Thanksgiving to you (who celebrate it)!
