Sibu to Kuala Lumpur
Tuesday May 4, we take afternoon flight from Sibu to Kuala Lumpur. Supposed to depart one or three hours earlier but Airasia informed about the delayed one month in advance.

Staying at Tune hotels nearby LCCT for a night. There is shuttle bus from LCCT to Tune hotels and vice versa, only RM1 per person per way. So convenient. But the place is kinda boring, only got cafeteria downstairs. Luckily a friend of my boy drops by for limteh-ing session and chat from hcg diet recipes to politic scene.

The room is small, but like what their advertisement said, 5-star sleeping experience at a 1-star price; Comfie bed, power shower and clean. Got air-con but need to pay, well ceiling fan is enough for such a small room. What I love best is the huge mirror in the room and bathroom. Read the rest of this entry…
Ah finally.. Here’s the first post of my Bali trip’s series before my memory fails me.
This post is all about planning and preparation. I mean, flight, accommodation, and transportation which are the essential and basic stuffs. All was found and booked via internet. I love how internet eases my life; need allergy relief or recipes then just google.
Flight Ticket
Ticket was booked since last year, August 2009 to be exact, for 5 – 10 May 2010. Can’t thank enough for the BIG SALE from Airasia. Return tickets Sibu – Kuala Lumpur for 2 persons = RM116. While return tickets Kuala Lumpur – Bali for 2 persons = RM241 included three 15kg check-in luggages (made a mistake during booking time, supposingly two luggages only). Total RM357, sweet!
But 3 out of 4 flights were re-scheduled to later time (read: delay). Should have listen to Mum, never book night’s flight. -__-”
Note: Recent experience tells that Airasia fare can be super cheap during promo, but the fare can be almost the same with MAS during regular time. Do compare both!

I have been looking for flight ticket to Medan my hometown since we already know that our ROM date will be on February 19th (how I wish I can have Jan cs as our witnesses. haihz) and that we can get the marriage certificate on the day itself.
The upcoming flight is an action of kill two birds with one stone, which means I can go back to celebrate Chinese New Year, to file our marriage form in Medan, then apply for 3 months social visa. Most importantly, my tourist visa will expired on 24 or 25 Feb (I forget the exact day
) so I definitely need to get my a** out of here in between Feb 20 to Feb 24 or 25, before the immigration kicks me out from this country.

Since the timing is around Chinese New Year, the flight ticket is super duper expensive. I almost fainted down when I saw the fee. Wtf one way can go up to RM770! We have two heads that need to take the flight. You do the math. Luckily I still have time until 24/25 Feb, although the fee is still slightly expensive around RM400 one way. Sigh.

Screenshot of the fare for Sibu to KL, one way flight ticket, as of January 21st 2010. Freaking expensive can die.
I probably need to find other channel of income to support this kind of emergency travel plan. Selling unlocked phone sounds good and promising too.
Now off to pump oil (read: work harder).
Not long ago boyfriend mentioned about honeymoon and I was so sure to say,”No, we don’t need it. I am fine for not having any honeymoon after the big day (whether immediately or few months after that). We can travel whenever we have the extra cash.”

But now I think I am going to take back my words since Airasia is having a BIG sale from 12 – 16 Aug, travel period from January to July next year. The flight ticket, local and international, is super duper cheap that I will feel sorry to myself if I don’t book one. In Hokkien: Tui be khi ka ki.
Flight ticket from KL – Shanghai starts from RM99 (one way) and KL – Melbourne is as low as RM149 (one way). But then, I can’t put aside the living cost – food, transportation, accommodation, shopping spree, etc. If convert RM into AUD, quite jialat lo. Some more, need to apply for visa for several travel destinations. So I think, the most affordable trip and hassle free would be going to Bali, the paradise island in Indonesia.
*continue surf Airasia website*
Thanks to the one-million-free-seats promotion (travel perious: January to April 2010) , Airasia website loads so slow. Expected. Just imagine MNG having 50% sales, almost every woman in town will rush to the outlet. Imagine squeezing with the crowd to grab the-desire-discounted-item, long queue at the waiting room, barcode scanners that stop working cause there is just too much customers, and the list of horror goes on.

Now when there is a chance to fly to Hongkong or Australia for ‘FREE’ (still have to pay the tax yadayada), it is expected that almost everyone will rush to the site. I’ve expected the crowd and slow loading time that keeps on bringing me to an error page. If so, why am I throwing myself into the frustration and squeeze with the crowd to book a cheaper tickets for next month holiday? *self blaming on* Stupid.
Update:
Yay! I managed to book the tickets for next month after spending more than 2 hours ‘shopping’ in Airasia website. *big wet eyes* Highlight of the trip will be Redang island! I should have bought the cute beach wear and huge sunglasses at The Curve the other day. Ugh. But, boyfriend doesn’t seem to be going with us, so why bother.
Am also hunting on the waterproof case for my digicam.
Done one major thing. The next thing is to come out with travel plan, organize transportation, accommodation, timing, yadayada. Sounds like so many things to settle. *faint down*
Most probably this is going to be my last holiday for this year, as I will be slaving to pay for my tuition fee.
