It’s pretty hard to accept the fact that I am no longer in my early twenties, but hitting mid twenty. When chatting with friends, it’s no longer about courtship but wedding, marriage, and baby shower invitations! Sigh. Can’t we just slow down the time or stop it so I can be forever 21?

Birthday this year is great. I get to have a family getaway to the neighborhood country Singapore. Travel + catch up with my parent, perfecto!

Despite being so worried during the pre-holiday period, I was quite stress-free during the trip.

I managed to survive four days without internet access. *pat on the back* No email, no facebook, no Twitter, whatsoever.

Surprisingly, I didn’t even crave for the internet. Could be because we walked all day long, I was too occupied & tired by the end of the day, the first thing that I wanted was to jump on bed and sleep.

But I guess the main reason is because I was stuck with a lousy made-in-china phone that has no wifi. It’s a blessing in disguise eh?

The walking continues when I’m back in KL. Mum followed us here, so we’ve been to shopping mall, medical check-up, BukitTinggi a.k.a Berjaya Hills – nothing great, except the cool weather when it rains.

Hoping to be fully back on work by tomorrow Monday. I have enough of walking already, now let me sit sit sit.

Here I am, officially being twenty two.

Yesterday, my aunties have been calling, saying happy birthday to me with tonnes of wishes and asking,”So, is there any celebration? Cake? Ang ke nui (red eggs)? Char mee (fried noodle)? Go out dinner? Presents?” The answer is a big NO. There was nothing special. It was just like any other 364 days in a year, except that I received more sms than usual.

The last time I had a birthday party is when I was five and in kindergarten. I celebrated it at school with the classmates and teachers. Since it was my day, I had the chance to wear the white princess dress. Oh, how I loved that kind of dress very much. I remembered I got a Garfield soft toy from my teacher. It should be somewhere at my grandma’s house.

Since then, there was no birthday party but just a small celebration with the family and a few close friends. Cause it was said that I shouldn’t do any birthday celebration or else, I’ll have a bad luck or bad day kinda thing. Hah, superstitious it is. But, believe it or not, I felt down and had several scars on my knee when it was near my birthday’s celebration day. It happened more than once. Might be coincidence, might be not. Whatever.

Anyway, I would like to thanks everyone for the greetings; through blog’s comments, sms, friendster’s comment, etc. Can’t believe that I’m one year older now.

Gee.. I can’t believe I am hitting 22 years old SOON. It is like yesterday when I was so happy for being 21. Because that means I am legal to go into the casino in Genting. Although later on, the security still asked for my IC before entering the casino. -___-” Alright, being 21 is a lot more happier than getting the chance to go in casino.

Anyway, previously I would be so mad whenever people said that I looked like a secondary student. Cause that means I don’t look mature and ‘adult’ enough. But after tonight, I think I will give a Julia Roberts’ smile if anyone ever says that I look like a 17 years old girl. Oh well, as the number increases, you will want to look younger than your actual age, especially woman.

I’ll spend the rest of the 3 hours watching Taiwan Hokkien drama and going to sleep after that. I shall sleep earlier from now on to prevent nose blackheads and wrinkles. Over reacted for hitting twenty two. I manage to finish designing 1 theme today. So, there is 2 in queue for the boyfriend to code.

Someone has hit the number twenty two~! Er, actually it is her 21st birthday but we counted it based on the Chinese calendar, hence we buy the ‘double 2′ candle.

It was a ‘cold’ night due to an unexpected-yet-expected attendance of somebody. But heck, we couldn’t destroy the birthday-girl’s night, so we pretend as if nothing had happened and put a smile in front of that somebody.

Pizza Hut (Suprapto branch) has become more radiant because of us.
