I’ve been using this pinkie-violet theme for 14 months with last re-design on February 2009. It’s time for refreshment~! From design (my hair no longer fits the bob girl illustration on header) to about page (the info there is so outdated now).

This isn’t another simply-redesign-cause-I-am-bore-with-the-old-theme. I am pushing it to be more than just a personal blog. Yes, after using this space to rant for 4 years, I finally decide that it’s time to grow up and to integrate my expertise here. Talk about branding and changing the content’s direction; not into extenze topic but design.

Bottom line, it’s been a work-in-progress for us since last week. Brainstorming, mind-mapping, analyze and plan all over carefully, etc. It’s been a while since we really take a deep look into what we have now. We often go with the routine and forget to see the bigger picture.

Well well, the roller-coaster ride has began! Time to grow and push the business further before we start on something new.

*narcistic mode on (in a good way)* I like my new blog design so much that I submitted it to We Love WP few days ago. It is my dream to get my blogs or sites featured on We Love WP one day.

If you haven’t know, We Love WP is a popular (if not the most popular ) niche gallery specifically showcasing WordPress powered sites (with an original design or a completely original modification of a free or premium theme design).

So, being featured there is an achievement, self-pride, and the list goes on.

And.. and.. alright, cut the crap~! Wiehanne Lounge is featured on We Love WP!!! See the above screenshot? I even highlight it with red border. I am more than happy now.

If you haven’t know, I own a WordPress theme design blog with the boyfriend at SimplyWP. Most of the time I design (for the girlie themes) and he codes. Perfect combination eh?

Wonder why the name is SimplyWP? It goes like this: more than 2 months ago, we thought of creating a blog that will offer free WordPress theme, custom made theme and web-development’s articles. Since it’s all about WordPress, we gave the name SimplyWP, stands for Simply WordPress. Translated: merely/only WordPress. We are not good in naming.

We have 6 WordPress themes released for free and started to receive custom-made themes too.

The first premade + custom made theme was based on my current theme for Sasha at My Own Utopia. She contacted us again for the 2nd theme. This time it’s for Sasha Says. The girl image is an original artwork of chihhang.

Next theme is made for seashorebeachcottage – A Life to remember.

Recently, we just finished two themes; one is to welcome autumn – for not so newlywed, the other one is for travel and photography blog – The journey.
