2nd Anniversary

The best anniversary gift is being able to spend time with the love one. Talk about movie date {Petaling Street Warriors} with a trip to IKEA, picking on house decor and discuss over it, check out trash pump on sale, ended with dinner at Pizza Hut Delivery kiosk.

Basically a NO WORK day on a regular weekday. Superwoman and superman need to take a break too! :D

Anyway, stepping into the third year of marriage. We have gone from staying with in-laws in the small town to moving back to the city and rent a room, and now renting an apartment. Just the two of us, no baby, still feel like newlywed. :P

Day Trip to Kampong

Not a recent trip, but dated back in September 2010 last year which I haven’t blog about. :P

It was my first time going for a trip with hubby’s extended family (in-laws, aunties, uncles, cousins, etc), can feel how nervous I was. Also first time visiting a real small kampong/village; green scenery, wood house, no steel building, fresh air, peaceful.

We went there by speed-boat, followed by taking a ride on a Toyota Hilux. There was more than 15 people I guess, all fit in the Hilux, with ladies inside the car and the gentlemen standing at the back. Added on the bumpy road, it was quite an adventurous journey.

It was Eid Mubarak month, hence we had the chance to eat rendang, ketupat, etc.

It’s an eye-opener experience! Had a good time too, except when we we were packed like sardines in the Hilux. :P

Father-Daughter’s Talk

Just called back home for a little catch-up session with Mom and Dad. Actually I was browsing through my picture folders and homesick came in, especially on the food part. :P

From how’s-life topic to new Moen kitchen faucet, we moved on to our (hubby + I) start-up topic.

Me: Oh Ma, we are thinking of doing this {insert subject line}, do you know anyone that can help us in this part?
Mom: Umm.. no lo, but can ask around. Oh wait… your Dad says he knows blablabla, wanting to talk to you now.

Dad speaking on the phone and I told him a bit about our planning. What important is, he knows and can help us. Loving dearest Dad so much for being supportive and helpful, as always.

Now… I can’t wait for our trip on end of this month! Lotsa things to looking forward to; family member’s wedding, meet-up, many more. :D

Before that, I’m oh so excited to see what’s God has for us in November.

Hey, It’s Me

I was supposed to blog about my passport + visa thing and the short getaway to kampong (read: village) due to Eid Mubarak day. But.. lazy to go through the picture folders, pick and edit those photos. Guess this 2010 will be the most boring and un-memorable year for my blog entries. :P

As a replacement, here’s a narcissism picture of me and my boy taken with the beloved Acer laptop’s webcam, incase my family and hometown friends miss me and wonder how is my look now. Cause I haven’t uploaded any new pictures to Facebook as well.

Looking at the above pictures, was wearing hoodie because of the cold weather during night time and I was feeling unwell after the short getaway, thanks to the strong wind throughout the journey and lack of drinking water. Need a massage so badly. *calling Mommy* If can have massage table package, that will be even better.

And oh yes, my hair is so long already, just like when I was in the final year of college. I tie it up as a ponytail most of the time as weather is so hot and the curl is pretty loose already. Considering to chop it into Bob hairstyle again and be back with seventeen-years-old look. *cough cough*

Ok, that’s all. Gotta get back to work. :)

Imbalance Life

It hits me that my life is imbalance when my love one (friend and family) sort of complain that I haven’t keep in touch with them for quite some time.

First, comes from my good friend back in my hometown Medan. “It’s been ages since we last chat online and why you didn’t update your blog for such a long time? Am waiting for your news.”

iye
uda luamaaaaa skaleeeeeee
uda lama ga update blog u jg
wkwkwkwkwk
daku di sini mnuggu kabar dirimu
yg ada malah asik update status KANASAI

Oh well, to avoid distraction, I don’t turn on my chatting application when working. When I have free leisure time, I’ll check out wedding blogs (showering myself with the creative invitations, letterpress, photography, gown, frugal planning, etc) or spend time with my boy. :P Having your spouse as your working partner doesn’t guarantee a quality time together. Quantity time, yes.

Second, comes from my dearest Mom. An sms to remind me that I haven’t call back home (especially to my Dad) for quite some time. “Please spare time”. It hits me so hard.

Both happens in one day. I’m glad to know that I am loved and cared. :)

Lesson of the day: no matter how busy you are, do spare some time for your love one, be it your spouse, family or friends. Don’t let distance kills the communication part.
