All you can eat - Hanamasa restaurant

May 23rd, 2008 | Posted by wiehanne

My family and I have never fancy All-you-can-eat type of restaurant, except my brother. Merely because we don’t eat so much. But yesterday my dad just came back from Jakarta and wanted to have a chat with his friend, so we headed off to Hanamasa restaurant since Mom didn’t cook.

Hanamasa-medan

Hanamasa restaurant has been in the town for 7 years (since 2001) and this was my first time dining there. Told you I didn’t eat that much. It is so rugi (such a loss) to bring me eating at all-you-can-eat restaurant. But if you insisted wanna treat me, I don’t mind. :P

Hanamasa-inside

The place is not so crowded yesterday. Only a few tables were filled. Oh well, weekday.

Hanamasa-buffet

It is a so-called Japanese restaurant, all you can eat type with self service. There is Yakiniku (grilled meat) and Syabu-Syabu (steamboat). A friend to Seoul Garden. The location is at K.H. Zainul Arifin road No. 199, not far from Sun Plaza and opposite the Cambridge condominium.

hanamasa-appetizer

Let’s start from appetizer section. Er, I’m not a fans of salad so I’ll pass this one.

hanamasa-yakiniku
Picture was taken after 8.30pm, hence the meat was almost finished.

This is part of yakiniku section. I’ll pass this one too cause I don’t eat beef. :( The other part is non beef, i.e. chicken, squid, prawn, fish, etc.

Hanamasa-shabu-shabu

The shabu - shabu section.

Hanamasa-robatanyaki

This the Robatanyaki section where we pick the menu and the chef will grill for us. The waitress will deliver it to our table.

hanamasa-grill-ourselves

Now, grilling / bbq part. I prefer Seoul Garden’s grill pot than this one. Seems to be safer without the holes. :P

hanamasa-steamboat

Not to forget the steamboat.

seafood-grill

Excessive amount of seafood consumption will result in a I-had-more-than-enough situation.

hanamasa-dessert

To cure this jelak (sick) feeling, let’s eat some dessert. If don’t want fruits, there is pudding.

hanamasa-es-campur

If not, we can make an es campur (mixed ice) ourselves.

hanamasa-grill-pot

We grill, we eat and tend to forget about grill-in-progress meat. Resulting in a gosong (burnt) pot.

Now, bill time. For adult, all you can EAT and DRINK (soft drinks) is at IDR.76.500, excluded 10% tax. After tax, it is IDR.84.150 per person. Cheaper than Seoul Garden. But menu wise, Seoul Garden has more varieties than Hanamasa.
