If you’re reading this post from RSS or email, quickly head off to my actual blog right now! Yes, now!
Because I’ve just changed layout, again. Still in pink color, more pink in fact. Except this time it isn’t a custom-made theme, no time for that, but a FREEmium theme that we just released at simplyWP in conjunction to October – breast cancer awareness month.
Proudly supporting own’s product and a good cause.

If you look at the right sidebar, you’ll notice the banner of my new venture. Targeting to launch the project by the end of this year (latest), hope I can keep up with the timeline.
Oh, to keep up with the trend, this theme is also made to have a responsive layout design (available for premium version). Try resize your browser or view it in tablet/smartphone, and you’ll get to see the responsive side.
Download OctoPink WordPress theme from simplyWP or purchase the premium version at $4.99 only!
Because I just got myself a home slipper with dotted pink pattern. Where else if not from the all-time-favorite-shop Daiso, where everything is RM5. Happy feet, happy me.
While the man was about to get something like steiner binoculars but decided not to first.

Another thing that brings happiness, I’m planning for the long-awaited-family-trip on next month. Yeap, Dad agreed to join us, usually he’s the type who says,”you guys go enjoy, I can’t leave the business.” But not this time, guess he really misses us (the kids).
Happy weekend, peeps~! I have a small home improvement project to be done this weekend with hubby, excited.
It’s been one year since the last redesign. I felt the urge to freshen up the look and keep thing simple, therefore realign instead of redesign.
- Logo: still using the same shape, except it’s no longer white-teal color filling but blackboard texture and reduce the amount of floral design.
- Menu Navigation: From top, I moved it to left sidebar. Oh, the whole left sidebar is static, only content will move as you scroll down.
- Footer: a glimpse of about me, my personal projects/start-up with awesome partners and categories.
Let’s take a time machine back to see how wiehanne.com looked like back in 2008, that’s when I started to play around with my blog design.

It was mostly dominated by pink pink pink. In 2009 I even went for a darker pink, but changed to softer pink + more white in 2010.
Portfolio page is updated as well.
P.S. It marks my 5 years of blogging with this domain name, yay!
Oh yeah, I’m bidding farewell to the 14-months-old layout and welcome the new layout design. So, what’s the new thing?

+ More white space and soft pink instead of the dark-violet-pink color scheme
+ Out with the character illustration (I no longer have a bob hair, remember?) and in with the floral illustration
+ Decided to add portfolio section to showcase the selected works that I’ve done; be it print or web
+ Add Twitter feed section on my sidebar, so you can follow my short update when I don’t blog
+ Updated my about page, though still looking for a nice profile picture to be used there
Basically the new design is all about minimalist, clean, soft, and girly. On the feature side, I am trying to show more about my expertise as a graphic + web designer. So, expect to see WordPress and design related posts in the future; after I come back from my vacation of course; aside from roadside assistance or rambling post.
Much thanks to my boy for coding this theme. If you find any bugs, please let me know.
I’ve been using this pinkie-violet theme for 14 months with last re-design on February 2009. It’s time for refreshment~! From design (my hair no longer fits the bob girl illustration on header) to about page (the info there is so outdated now).

This isn’t another simply-redesign-cause-I-am-bore-with-the-old-theme. I am pushing it to be more than just a personal blog. Yes, after using this space to rant for 4 years, I finally decide that it’s time to grow up and to integrate my expertise here. Talk about branding and changing the content’s direction; not into extenze topic but design.
Bottom line, it’s been a work-in-progress for us since last week. Brainstorming, mind-mapping, analyze and plan all over carefully, etc. It’s been a while since we really take a deep look into what we have now. We often go with the routine and forget to see the bigger picture.
Well well, the roller-coaster ride has began!
Time to grow and push the business further before we start on something new.
