While other couples had candlelight romantic dinner at some fancy restaurant/cafe whatever it is or taking vacation cruise to Bermuda, we had dinner with my in-laws at our fave restaurant. I would like to call it as crab’s party time!

It’s on top of my must-eat-foods in Sibu, cause of the reasonable (or even low) price RM19/kg and yummy taste – I like it with black pepper. If you notice at the top of the picture, there is a small hammer to help you in cracking the crabs.
That’s our Valentine’s Day this year. Dining with family, doesn’t sound romantic at all, but my stomach is happy.
Anyway, when I was a teenager, my ideal Valentine’s Day is to dine out with my love one along with gift like teddy bear & flowers. But as I grew up (or getting older maybe), my ideal V-day is to cook and dine at home! As simple as that.
I think most of the people have the same mindset like the teenage-me. Hence it’s hard to have a romantic candlelight dinner out there unless you book an expensive restaurant.
Otherwise, you will have to queue for hours and end up sharing table with other couples. If you’re lucky to get a table for two only, the distance between each table is only 15 – 30 cm (speaking from experience of dine out on V-day with my parents few years ago) cause some cafe/resto just want to maximize their income on V-day so they simply place extra chair & table. How to talk romantic with your partner like that? Not only that, (my) stomach will get upset due to long queue and have to wait for the food. Duh.
Another turn-off is, speaking from last year experience when we thought of dining out at cafe in Sibu, some cafes will only serve their so-called V-day package (appetizer, main course, dessert, drink, whatever it is) which is usually oh-so-expensive. Normal menu is unavailable on V-day. Wah, forcing people like that. I hate it the most.
So yeah, stay at home at such ‘peak’ hour is the best for us. Otherwise, do a booking on expensive restaurant. Or better, have a short getaway to beach/other countries.
Til V-day next year
It’s 24 hour left before our flight to KL and we haven’t even started to pack yet, plan to do it on Sunday but pending it due to some rush work and etc. I should be panicking now cause we aren’t going for traveling but moving out to other state (read: so many stuffs).
Yeap, big news #1 is that we decided to move back to the messy KL after much of consideration. Decision was made on mid of this year, but we just waited until my passport and social pass were renewed.
Good thing, we’ll be back on CNY next year which is around 4-5 months from now, so we can spare few not-so-important stuffs to be brought on that trip.
Like, how to get rid of blackheads‘s book, tripod, wedding presents from my bro and my friends, blablabla.
We’ve been busy running here and there for the whole morning and afternoon, settling the big news #2 before our moving day and other stuffs. It’s 2nd biggest item in our wish-list. Goddamnohsoexciting! More details to be revealed on next post
I’m so gonna miss my room’s aircon (hello ceiling fan).
On a sunny Monday noon, these two love birds who met in the right place & at the right time almost 7 years ago *cough cough* decided that it was the time to buy a better grown-ups watches in pair.
Many thanks to Mr. Lim
for recommending a rather trust-able watches shop, located nearby Sibu Heritage Center. Otherwise we almost being conned to buy an in-house watches brand from a shop in Wisma Sanyan. -__-”

Spent quite some time in looking for the right one, probably ten times longer than someone looking for best fat burner in supermarket. We agreed on this pair of Crocodile’s, at RM520 for both.
Dear watches, be ready to follow us in the journey of discovering life for many more years to come
It has been raining everyday for the past one week. Water level of the river was just alright, not until yesterday when it kept on raising with no sign to stop. Sigh.

Woke up this morning to be greeted by the surprise. Water has raised and flooded the road in our residential area.

So far the house is safe. But I’m not sure how long it will last as the flood kept on raising from time to time. Just see the comparison of the above pictures. Only one hour and I can see the difference already.
The first bad flood that I experienced in this town was on end of 2007, where the water level outside the house has reached over my knee. Definitely not safe for those in prom dresses to go out the house, unless the party theme is trash-and-wet something like that.
Let’s see what surprise we’ll get this time.
Flood has always be the enemy to Sibu since.. don’t know when, should let Sibuan to answer it.
The flood can be very very bad sometimes, especially because the town is surrounded by Rejang river. Heavy rain + bad drainage system + river overload = bad flood. The number of flood’s review is more than lipozene reviews that you can find online.

But on normal day where the sun shine all day, the road in front our house is actually still in a good condition. Out of a sudden (this morning) some authority decided to raise the road’s height. Plain stupid idea, just compare the before and after picture. *speechless*
